International Markets Advisor - Export Support Service

Provide both new and experienced British companies with the information they require to make informed business decisions, and provide support to the DIT team, by handling market research enquiries, coordinating events, tracking business interactions, providing tailored reports and identifying business opportunities for British companies.

- Provide project support to the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector leads on scoping opportunities and promoting British healthcare trade and investment in the UAE
- Provide first-class support to UK companies looking to do business in the UAE which includes facilitating partnerships and supporting the Healthcare UK Regional strategy in the Healthcare sector
- Foster healthcare partnerships between the UK and UAE healthcare providers
- Gather market intelligence, key trends, industry developments and latest healthcare projects and opportunities by visiting healthcare exhibitions and conferences, arranging meetings with healthcare regulatory authority and senior executives of private healthcare companies

I set up my company to support CEO’s, Directors and Founders to aid their business growth by improving administration processes and business operations. My clients included PR consultants and coaches, as well as in property, law and construction.

Responsibilities 
•	To engage new clients, ensuring they understand the benefits of a remote administration service
•	Advised and supported clients in a range of areas e.g online filing, in-depth research, remote and in-person meetings, social media and general administration
•	Management of business accounts, including forecasting, invoicing and budgeting

Achievements 
•	Set up company, achieving a 250% increase in business within the first two years

•	Created and delivered the self-created SMARTER system to over 60 female entrepreneurs
•	Maintained long-term relationships with 90% of clients across the UK and internationally

Dress for Success Greater London

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•Manage internal and external volunteer recruitment, training and recognition 
•Manage secure data of supporters, partners and event attendees
•Work closely with the Programme Manager to develop partnerships, coordinate client appointments and events
•Support the CEO with financial processes, web content and event planning

ACHIEVEMENTS
•Increased volunteer intake by 30% within 6 months
•Set up internal email and database systems for the charity
•Organised the first excess stock sale event for the charity, raising over £600
•Organised the inaugural European Affiliate Partnership day in London, 8 affiliates from across Europe attended.

Office Manager and Volunteer Coordinator

London Borough of Lewisham

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•	Coordinated programme of work between the Home Office, Metropolitan Police Service, Mi5, NHS, BIS, DfE and community partners to enable a multi-agency response to issues of extremism and to ensure value-for money, providing regular updates to the Home Office. 
•	Developed and lead on the Delivery and Action Plan for local counter-terrorism and extremism issues including an updated analysis of risks. 
•	Represented the borough in wider regional and national events, networking, sharing best practice in tackling radicalisation and promoting our successful projects with partner agencies.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
•	Devised business case, secured funding, recruited and managed additional staff to deliver targeted initiatives in schools and Further Education institutions.
•	Briefed the European Commission on the successful implementation of the strategy.
•	Submitted successful bids for contracted community projects and external staff to which I was accountable
•	£200,000 awarded including £60,000 for a three-year youth initiative that featured on national BBC Radio.
•	Directed a borough-wide project for young people between a local college, Lewisham council and a London charity to produce a resource for all secondary school pupils in the area.
•	Transformed the relationship between the pan-London Prevent coordinators and the MPS counter-terrorism unit by leading the implementation of the first Memorandum of Understanding. 
•	Implemented a focused campaign to empower Afghan women, expanded to include Muslim women in second year. 
•	Chaired, arranged and selected attendees from a range of services for vital regional meetings.
•	Including with the US Embassy, Foreign Commonwealth Office and Home Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•	Provided comprehensive support to include minute taking, maintaining databases and be the first point of contact for all external enquiries.
•	Liaised with partnership agencies (ranging from education providers to NHS), service providers (e.g. substance misuse provision), criminal courts, and the police to maintain effective information sharing processes. Maintained and monitored accurate records to comply with local and national government requirements.
•	Organised the effective collation and distribution of correspondence and papers to ensure that items are both received and dispatched as appropriate.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
•	Facilitated temporary office relocation, including advising and directing staff on move procedures.
•	Represented the service at Borough wide promotional events such as Lewisham People’s Day, Lewisham’s Annual pensioners forum and Goldsmith’s University Fresher and Refreshers fair.
•	Implemented new ordering processes for staff resources prompting an increase in service delivery to the public.
