I used to make 300 cold calls every single day and that was tough. What was even harder..giving away a lot of presentations and not receiving a lot of contracts in return. I thought the way someone should sell should include the following: 1. Find someone to talk to that matches your ideal client profile. 2. Show them your product/service. 3. Attempt to close them. 4. Follow up. After two years of going through this process..with a close rate of 20%..I knew there had to be a better and easier way to sell. So, I found a sales coach. He told me the process I was in was called the buyer/seller dance..and the buyer is the one who is controlling the outcome when it should be the seller. We reworked my sales process using the Sandler methodology and my close rate has gone up 4x over a period of 8 years. Since then, I've had numerous conversations with entrepreneurs who are stuck in the buyer/seller dance and have been frustrated by it. We've worked together and changed their sales process which has led to a massive increase in sales. I continue to do what I do because I love seeing people accomplish their business dreams.
