The wrong leader can destroy cultures, bring in the wrong talent and massively hurt revenue that can take years to recover from. Getting the right people on the bus is the hardest task any CEO can face - it can make a company or bring them to their knees. Once they're on the bus, now comes the next challenge. As a leader, your goal is to ensure your people succeed. Communicate clearly. Give clear direction. Hold people accountable. Celebrate their successes. The more you give as a leader, the greater the odds your people will be highly successful for you, and for your company. Building trust and engagement takes effort and time. The job of a leader is not easy - you'll need to have difficult conversations, solve complex problems and understand every person on your team. The worst thing a leader can do is to talk eloquently and then fail to take action. Build your company and your culture with strong leadership and the right values. My Personal Beliefs: There are builders and there are employees at any company. I have always viewed myself as a builder. The work I choose to do is too important to be a passenger at work. I'd rather be in the driver's seat. Challenge people so they can use their passion to fuel their growth. Support your team so their success becomes your success. Get comfortable being uncomfortable and always, always believe in what you do. You'll never change the world if you stay status quo. Be bold. Take risks. Learn quickly and continue to evolve. You only live once - transform your business, your leadership, your self.
