Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA)

Coordinating timely and effective counselling support for vulnerable clients in the community for
survivors of suicide and those experiencing severe suicidal ideation.  Addressing both immediate crisis
and providing ongoing support, through liaison with a range of counsellors. Shared responsibility as lead
for the service, with extensive experience in assessing individuals, and facilitating groups in a therapeutic
setting. Working in successful partnerships in a complex, multi-agency environment, reporting to funders,
and successfully developing and implementing new initiatives and services. Excellent communication,
professional and personal ethics, boundaries, and the ability to work effectively with vulnerable people.
In addition, deliver timely, first-line response service to individuals & families bereaved by suicide.

Working to support clients emotional well being. To assess their needs and areas to provide therapeutic
interventions for a range of forensic step down service users. Interact with probation services to provide
a non judgemental environment where service users can explore their relationships and behaviours.
