After spending hours at work climbing the corporate ladder, then carving out precious time for self-care and family, most people simply do not have the energy nor interest to read up on mundane financial matters. Hence, I step up to assist busy professionals simplify and understand the concepts of financial planning, so that they can rest well at night knowing their unexpected bills are covered for and their retirement lifestyles would not be compromised. I have been in the insurance industry for more than a decade, and am now a certified Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Associate Estate Planning Practitioner (AEPP). I deal mainly with life insurance, critical illness, hospitalisation, wealth growth and retirement planning. I am also certified in matters of general insurance which includes travel, motor, home insurance and others. For estate planning matters, I assist in clients’ will-writing and wealth distribution so that their hard-earned money would end up exactly with whom they wished to benefit in a timely manner. I was awarded the Prudential Service Mark in 2018 as a recognition of my sincere service to my clients over the years. This award means a lot to me as it was the result of clients spending time putting in kind words of testimonials for me, which cannot be bought by money. Till date, I have helped clients save more than $500,000 in hospital bills and also helped hand over another $300,000 to two unfortunate families whose loved ones have left. It touched me greatly, to know that the blue-collared non-local widow would have less of a financial worry for herself and her primary-school son’s future, while another housewife could tide through her later years while coping with the loss of her son. When I am not working, I am a keen psychology, photography and music enthusiast. Before the pandemic, I was also an avid traveller who would rank climbing Mt Kinabalu in Sabah, catching the Northern Lights in Scandinavia and watching the sunsets at Aegean Sea as one of my most memorable moments in life.
