Managed <5 FTEs of geographically dispersed corrosion subject matter experts. Traveled throughout the continental US, visiting each type of USCG boat to document corrosion and maintenance issues. Drafted findings to support future congressional funding for overhauls. Presented findings to all levels of USCG leadership. Created follow-on SOWs for additional opportunities as the need arose, driving the company’s footprint with the customer.

Managed <5 on-site FTEs, to help the USCG’s Damage Control Policy Advisor field new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA’s), accessories and test equipment - an annual recurring budget of $6.2M. Addressed technical, logistical and all financial aspects of this project. Fielded calls from sailors and met frequently with C-level manufacturer reps.

While raising a baby daughter, obtained a part-time, telework opportunity with a U.S. Coast Guard Contractor. Quickly learned the position and eventually directed a team of 5 logisticians to resolve logistics gaps for the Buoy Tender Replacement Program. Built a relational database to streamline a manual analysis process, improving efficiency and reducing manhours by 25%.

Logistician ­

On behalf of the Navy’s Ship Design Manager for MHC-51 Class vessels, I solicited technical feedback on Reviewed and responded to shock trial cards for the Navy’s MHC 51 Class Program. Analyzed shipbuilder specifications to determine if the shipbuilder or the government was at fault. Presented findings to engineers, C-level executives and manufacturer representatives and suggested next steps.

Project Engineer

Performed technical analysis of fleet engineering problems and prepared Class Advisories for the Navy’s AEGIS program on electrical, mechanical, and weapon systems-related issues.
