I moved across the country (from Seattle to Boston) when I was five months pregnant to start a new job in a city I'd only been to once before (and that one time was for the job interview). That wasn't the plan my husband and I had in mind... being alone in a new city starting a brand new job without any family or friends nearby as we became first-time parents. However, saying YES to the opportunity was a foregone conclusion for me as it was a significant step-up from where I was with more room for growth. I didn't realize at the time that many people given the same situation would have turned it down.
