• Extensive coordination with in-house design during product development and identifying product changes that required communication across all in-flight projects

• Integral in the development: Software solution to reduce submittal creation time by 50% across the company and improving the in-house construction management software by working with the development team to report bugs and improvement ideas

Project Engineer

Privately owned heavy civil company servicing the greater Seattle area. 

Project engineer on private and public sector jobs. 

Responsible for project cost management (labor with HeavyJob, materials and subcontractors), RFI's, submittals, develop budgets from estimates, project schedules (microsoft project), 3-week look-ahead schedules, owner/contractor weekly meetings, estimating (HeavyBid), change order pricing, earned value management, cost loaded schedules, quantity tracking, subcontractor pay applications, owner billings, and field problem resolutions. 

Contract types included hard bid, time and material, and guaranteed maximum price projects ranging from $100k to $50 million.

Completed 40 hour HAZWOPER training.

Reichhardt and Ebe Engineering Inc

As a project engineer for Reichhardt and Ebe Engineering, Inc., I received my E.I.T. certification after passing the fundamentals of engineering exam in 2013. I worked closely with project managers developing plans in Civil 3D, engineer estimates, feasibility designs, and feasibility reports. The majority of the work was with local municipalities. To excel my learning curve with Civil 3D I took an AutoCAD Civil 3D level 1 (plan and profile) and 2 (utilities and intersections) course from the Washington Engineering Institute. Some examples of projects I worked on are the following: water main upgrades, flood mitigation, sewer upgrades, sewer feasibility, public trails, street improvements, and stormwater improvements. In addition to typical design, I also worked on multiple feasibility studies, in which exemplified my technical writing ability.

Kiewit

Created man loaded schedules from budget and past experience working on large gang forms to determine a realistic cycle schedule prior to starting work. Developed a workplan for the fabrication of the gang forms and ran the crew to fabricate.  Field engineer  responsibilities included purchasing, tracking cost, 5-week schedule, as well as 120 day schedule, developing workplans for retaining walls, pre-pour inspections and planning future features of work on the job.

While working on Folsom Phase 4, I completed a multi-day public speaking course in preparation of a presentation on the Folsom project. I was selected to present at the annual district meeting for Kiewit Bridge and Marine.

Structures Engineer

Tracked and controlled costs for permanent materials and small tools and supplies. Tracked and performed method analysis on production rates. Developed work plans that included quality and safety importances for a specific task. Currently working with gang forms, and soffits to build pontoons for a floating bridge.

Obtained my CESCL for Washington State while at Kiewit.
