Tijdens mijn tijd bij Track Technologies was ik verantwoordelijk voor vrijwel alle software van onze ‘main unit’. Track is een klein bedrijfje die zich focust op de automotive branche. De main unit is generieke module van hun waarop allerlei transponders op aangesloten kunnen worden. Verschillende transponders zorgen voor verschillende toepassingen, zoals bijv. een automatische tuinhek opener, gps-module, laser-shield, koppelingsmodule met de Target BluEye. De main unit herkent via een bussysteem en eigen ontwikkeld protocol welke transponders zijn aangesloten, zorgt dat de firmware van al deze devices geüpdatet worden wanneer nodig. Ook de interactie met de gebruiker gaat via de main unit (middels een display unit). Voor dit project heb ik vrijwel alle embedded driver software geschreven in C/C++, hieronder vielen o.a: I²C, SPI, SD-kaart, FAT-bestandssysteem, SPI, EEPROM, interne Flash, Accelero-sensors, UART, PWM. Verder heb ik hierin een extensief logging systeem geïmplementeerd, was ik verantwoordelijk voor de bootloader software. En heb ik meerdere productie tools gemaakt in C#/.Net, die naast de devices programmeerden ook een uitgebreide lijst met tests uitvoerden.

Voor de nieuwe versie van de Futurent (een workbench voor KNO-artsen) heb ik zorg gedragen voor grafische interface in Qt. Daarnaast heb ik met Buildroot een custom Linux BSP en kernel gemaakt voor de Utilite, zodat de gemaakte applicatie zo vloeiend mogelijk kon worden weergegeven

I Implemented a work-flow change in the SoterRS bodyscanner. Which can now execute dummy scans, to prevent that a frequently scanned person will exceed the legally defined maximum annual radiation dose. Dummy scans are randomly carried out, unnoticeable for the scanned person as well for the operator

I created a flexible cross-correlation architecture for an FPGA, which was created and simulated in CλaSH. This is an - at the University of Twente created - functional Hardware Description Language (HDL), that can create a formal description of digital logic and electronic circuits, which can be mapped on a FPGA or an ASIC. The goal of this research was to find a relation between the correlator configuration and the necessary chip area, the maximum clock frequency at which the correlation operation could be executed, the power dissipation and the spurious free dynamic range of the architecture.

Personal homework assistant for math, physics and chemistry to school students. The challenge was to explain to them their homework in a clear and manageable way, without revealing the actual answer. 

I've had this job for several years, and assisted multiple school students who all had a vast improvement in their marks. It gives quite a fulfillment to take away peoples worries by learning them something new.

I worked at Salland Electronics for a half year after my graduation for my Bachelor. For multiple projects I was responsible for the .NET PC interface as well as some embedded software.

Development Engineer

I've made (as part of an international team) a demonstrator, which can determine the position of a person. The position was calculated by applying the dead reckoning principle on IMU data (Consisting of a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis magnetometer). The positional data was transmitted via a layered model towards a virtual world (OpenSim).
