I’ve written a lot of words. 

More for other people than myself. 

And the one thing I’ve noticed is that people don’t have a content or creativity problem, they have a problem with clarity and getting it out there. 

Their brilliance is buried under half-baked notes, posts that are either rushed or stay in drafts, or PAINFUL AI that could belong to anyone. 

So, this is where I step in.

You’re talking shit.

Seriously…

Not intentionally, but emotionally, your content is speaking to the wrong person.

And it’s creating an empathy gap.

The empathy gap is one of the core reasons content feels disconnected without anyone realising why.

People think they are writing for their audience, but actually most of the time they are writing from their own emotional altitude.

Take a business coach.

They write from clarity and momentum.
Their mind is in problem solving mode.
Their ideas feel simple.
Their energy is grounded and confident.

Meanwhile their audience is in a completely different emotional reality.

Overwhelmed.
Unsure of their next step.
Tired from trying things that never gained traction.
Ashamed for feeling stuck when everyone else seems to be moving.

Those two states do not naturally meet.

The coach has to slow the message down and reconnect to the emotional starting point of the reader, or the content feels like it belongs to another universe.

Another example to look at is a CFO trying to attract founders and board level decision makers.

The CFO is calm.
Analytical.
Focused on forecasting, structure and long term safety.

Their audience is reading from pressure.

Payroll stress.
Fear of choosing wrong in a volatile market.
Uncertainty around long sales cycles.
Exhaustion from carrying responsibility for an entire team.

When communication comes from logic, and the reader is sitting in pressure, there is an immediate disconnect. The insight is valuable, but the emotional world of the reader has not been acknowledged.

This is the empathy gap.

Two people speaking about the same problem from completely different emotional realities.

Closing this gap is the difference between content that people skim and content that actually lands in their system.

Here’s what to do.

Before you write anything this week, ask yourself three questions:

→ Where is my audience emotionally sitting right now.
→ What are they feeling more than they are thinking.
→ What would make them exhale before they try to understand what I am saying.

Answer those honestly and write from that place.

You will feel the shift.
They will feel the shift.
And your message will finally meet them where they actually are.

I have just had a HUGE week, probably one of the biggest energy weeks I’ve had in a long time.

Supporting at a retreat.
Running a masterclass for 15 women.
Breakout sessions.
Messaging audits in hallways.
A 400+ person women’s business event.

Listening, learning, connecting, recalibrating.

Most people walked away wanting to burn their whole business down 😂

Me? I walked away thinking one thing:

I really DO know my shit… and I seriously need to charge more lolololol.

But something I kept seeing over and over again in every conversation, every hot seat, every “quick question” that wasn’t actually quick:

Demonstration will get you more clients than marketing.

You can keep telling people what it’s like to work with you.

Or you can just show them.

I’m a big fan of the latter.

And without even planning it, that’s what I did all week.

Random 15 minute messaging sessions.
Offer rewrites.
Micro audits.
Helping people articulate what they actually do instead of the watered-down version they think they’re meant to say.

Every time I broke something down, someone went:

“Oh… NOW I get it.”

That’s the moment people buy.

Not because you “positioned” yourself well.

Because they finally felt the difference between you and everyone else.

Most people don’t demonstrate enough because they’re scared someone might take their value and run.

& if you’re scared to show your value, you’re not ready to sell it.

Especially now when AI can spit out 20 mediocre posts in 30 seconds.
Being good at what you do isn’t enough.

Posting consistent tips isn’t enough.
Looking polished definitely isn’t enough.

You need to show your brain.
Show your thinking.
Show the way you see things that other people don’t.

Because demonstration does what content alone can’t:

It builds trust faster.
It makes you unforgettable.
It shows authority without you claiming it.
It gets people to self-select and say, “Yep, that’s the person I want.”

If you know you’re good at what you do, if you know your work changes things, if you know your brain is your biggest asset…

Stop soft-launching your own talent.
Demonstrate it.

Everything grows from there.

What’s one thing you could demonstrate this week that actually shows people how your mind works?

I want to talk about pedestals, and why they’re so fking dangerous for the online world.

Because the moment you put someone on one, you lose yourself a little.

And I felt this A LOT over the weekend.

Hundreds of women.
Diamonds.
Sequins.
The kind of outfits that make you ask yourself,
“Do I need to burn my entire suitcase and start again just to belong?”

For a split second, I caught myself shrinking.

Comparing.
Adjusting.
Wondering if I needed to dial myself up or down to match the room.

It felt like dating someone and pretending you love hiking at 6am even though you’d rather chew glass 😂.

It’s subtle.
It’s sneaky.
And it’s exactly what happens online.

You see people with the “multiple six figure” brands (no receipts, by the way) and suddenly your voice doesn’t feel “big enough.”

Your tone doesn’t feel “powerful enough.”
Your content doesn’t feel “sparkly enough.”

So you start bending.
You start borrowing.
You start shape-shifting into a version of you that looks good on paper but feels SO wrong in your body.

And what makes it worse is that your audience can ALWAYS tell.

They can tell when your words aren’t yours.
They can tell when you’re performing.
They can tell when you’re trying to be someone you think they’ll like.

And funnily enough, the second I stopped trying to fit in, I finally felt like myself (SHOCK).

Nothing about me needed upgrading except my own trust in my voice.

So my questions to you are:

→ Are you creating from who you are?
→ Or from who you think the industry will approve of?

→ Are you writing in your language?
→ Or recycling someone else’s “high-income” catchphrases?

→ Are you building your own lane?
→ Or desperately trying to merge into someone else’s?

Because as cheesy as it sounds you don’t become undeniable by becoming them, you become undeniable by becoming you.

Your job isn’t to sparkle like everyone else in the room.

It’s to hold your identity so firmly that people feel it the second you open your mouth.

Pedestals don’t make people better.

They just make you smaller.

So you have to remember that your content isn’t just “content.” It’s the clearest mirror of how much you trust yourself.

If you’re constantly borrowing the tone, structure, ideas or identity of people you pedestal, your message will always feel slightly off, not wrong, just… not you.

The internet already has their voice.

What it doesn’t have is the one you keep diluting every time you look sideways.

Your best content won’t come from consuming more, analysing more, or trying to sound more “industry standard.”

It comes from the moments you choose yourself. The moments you stop shape-shifting. The moments you write like you actually speak. The moments you back your ideas without checking if they match the room.

So, TLDR:

Trust your words.
Trust your perspective.
Trust the version of you who doesn’t need a pedestal to feel powerful.

That’s the voice people connect with.

Last week I was in New York, it was a lotttt colder than Dubai and Bali, I walked thousands of steps, ate thousands of calories, annnnd I sent a great email 😂

So let’s talk about it!!!

It was about activation.

As in, the difference between being in motion and being activated.

It was inspired by a Mozi Minute, which I sometimes love and sometimes find a little meh, but this one? Stunnnnning.

Anyway, the concept is simple:

Motion looks busy. Activation creates momentum.

And this is where most service-based and done-with-you businesses quietly lose money (in my opinion).

They’re posting, launching, emailing, but nothing’s actually happening.

Because they haven’t learned how to activate people in the right way.

Hormozi talked about activation rebates, rewarding people not for buying, but for acting.

In simple terms:
→ Don’t reward the purchase. Reward the participation.

In psychological terms:
→ Incentivise the behaviour that predicts long-term success.

Because the faster someone takes the first action, the more likely they are to stay consistent with it.

That’s commitment bias. Once we start, we want to keep going.

Let’s say you’re a coach.

Week one: client’s excited.
Week two: energy dips.
Week three: silence.

That’s not a bad client. That’s an activation problem.

Because your system rewarded the sale, not the participation.

So what if you flipped that?

→ Complete your first module and unlock a bonus call.
→ Submit your progress photos and access a private vault.
→ Finish week one and join a live Q&A.

Now your client isn’t just in your program, they’re moving through it.

So if you aren’t seeing results from clients, ask yourself: Are they being activated, or just added?

This isn’t about giving them more content.

It’s about giving them micro-momentum, tiny actions that build self-trust.

Stop rewarding people for signing up. Start rewarding them for showing up.

That’s what activation does.

The UAE has become one of my favourite places to build, not just because it’s shiny (it is), but because being here has changed how I see myself as a woman in business.

For too long, I tried to be the “barefoot Bali girl.”

And in some ways, I still am, she’s not going anywhere.

But this year I realised that I wanted to be in bigger rooms, I wanted to speak louder, I wanted to build from a place that actually feels good to me, not the version of me I thought the industry expected.

I’ve been uplevelling my work…
So it was time to uplevel my image and direction too.

Which is why yesterday’s shoot with Social Studio Middle East meant so much.

I messaged Chloë Rees, the founder, asking for any advice on where to find a photographer in Dubai.

Her reply was pretty much:

“Say less.”

And within minutes, everything was sorted.

Location.
Photographer.
Direction.

It’s definitely something I’ve been craving more of, women who move, who support, who are up-levelling and building themselves. So it was SO nice to have this opportunity to step into a studio space for the first time and shoot like this!

Buuut I mean it’s not all fun and games, because behind the scenes, I was in the middle of launching my client’s first ever 7,000 USD offer.

A four-week, in-person qualification.

Everything they’ve sold until now has sat in the $10–$35/month bracket.

So yes, big shift, big energy, big expectations.

But it’s not a cold launch.

We’ve been sending two emails a week for months.

Not sales emails, real value driven emails.

Building trust.
Giving opinion.
Shaping the voice of the individual.

Making sure people actually understand the brand before we even mention anything “premium.”

And because their social team didn’t have the launch plan mapped yet, email became the place we put the structure in.

Not because email is carrying everything.

But because someone needs to build the foundation so when socials finally go live, they’re not just posting into the void.

So we did it.

Two domains.
One funnel that sells and segments.
One that nurtures and prepares buyers.

Simple.
Intentional.
Smooooth.

Uplevelling isn’t just aesthetics and amazing photoshoots.

It’s how you run things.
How you think.
The rooms you choose.
The people you trust.
The systems you build long before you “announce” anything.

The shoot felt like the next version of me.
The launch feels like the next version of my work.
