I use creativity, design and strategy to help organisations innovate towards positive, progressive futures. I'm happiest around emergent patterns, systems and relationships. The interesting stuff always seems to happen on these borders, in the fuzzy overlaps between flows and ideas. I grew up in the jungle in Malawi in southern Africa. My dad built the school with mud bricks and my mom, a paediatrician, was my teacher. I've been a permanent migrant since then, moving between Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific. I've been really lucky to work in creative, operations, strategic and design teams with clients ranging from skateboarders to firefighters, financial services to public servants. I've also been fortunate to have inspiring colleagues in startups, digital agencies, technology firms and innovation consultancies. Someonce once said: nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come. My current interests are in complex systems, innovation methodologies and futures design. When not working or reading, I spend time with my amazing family, studying, making music or looking for surf in quiet places on the New Zealand coast.
