Keep your eyes on the prize 🏆👀 

Last year, my daughter placed 6th in her race.

She’s fast! But she made a critical mistake…

She kept her eyes on the competition in her heat behind her.

She was obviously disappointed because she knew she could do better.

This year, she kept her eyes on the finish line.

…and she placed 3rd!

I couldn’t be more proud of her 😍

We reminded her prior to her race, as did her coach, to keep her focus on the finish line and she said “I know” (of course lol she’s 10, she knows everything already haha)

But we ALL need the reminder now and then.

Don’t let things distract you from your goal!

Just a small project before the week starts 😏 

Sometimes you don’t need something new, you just need to present it to the market in a new way. 

Take IKEA for example: they didn’t invent furniture, but they made it more accessible.

IKEA took an existing item and made it in a way that appealed to an underserved market.

And if that wasn’t enough; IKEA also made their furniture highly customizable to fit the needs of the individual user.

The internet/Pinterest is filled with DIY and IKEA hacks because IKEA puts out products that are applicable to a wide variety of uses.

The short version: They solved a problem.

You don’t have to invent something new to be successful. You just have to solve a problem.

Anyway…for those of you that didn’t know…I am an absolute DIY/project junky!

I love coming up with big home project ideas that my husband helps me bring to life 🤩

This weekend, I’ve been focusing on my office space.

Procuring the majority of my supplies from IKEA means that my project is relatively easy and affordable.

Is this the end of an era for communication service providers?

In a recent article by Blair Pleasant, the data is clear that there is a strong need to differentiate as a provider.

Blair writes, “as the softswitch era comes to an end, CSPs need to look for new options in order to migrate their customers to the cloud and prepare for the AI era.”

CSPs are being pressured by their customers to have solutions for more than just voice functionality.

Customers want “calling, messaging, collaboration, etc., as well as full contact center capabilities, as well as supporting new AI-enabled services.”

CSPs face a pivotal choice: evolve or become extinct.

But many CSPs are grappling with the dilemma of hitching their wagons to tech giants like #Cisco and #Microsoft, sacrificing their brand independence in the process.

Or, CSPs can look for new platforms to diversify their offerings and guarantee redundancy.

It’s not just the end of an era – it’s the start of a daring new adventure in communication.

People do business with people that they know, like, and TRUST.

Let me tell you a story to go along with this poll...

One of my children has a history of sneaking sweets.

I'm talking full sleeves of cookies, copious amounts of candy, and probably spoonfulls of sugar we've yet to learn about (lol).

So, when something sweet is dwindling without the obvious parent-tax deductions, we tend to have a suspect.

Is it fair? No (and yes...repeat offender, remember).

But, the fact remains that we are skeptical/suspicious of one over the other whenever sweets are missing.

Learning self-control is a really tough one for some kids. They see what they want, so they take it. Nevertheless, it's important to have the opportunities for learning available.

The problem is that our trust has already been broken–and everyone knows that it's very hard to earn trust back (sometimes even impossible).

❓❓ So my question today is, how important is trust in BUSINESS? ❓❓

For me, trust is often given quite freely. (Trust until you're given a reason not to)

But just like Julia Michaels sings: I could love you just like that–And I could leave you just as fast (https://lnkd.in/eftt58we)

Once trust is broken, it's nearly impossible to repair (at least with me).

My poll is broadly asking about the importance of trust because it is part of every facet of our lives and every step in business.

You need trust in your team to do what they were hired to do.

You need trust in your tools to get the job done.

You need trust in your leadership to have confidence in your job.

You need trust in yourself to be the best you can be.

Without trust, we look like fools. 😉
