Social Isolation

Social Isolation was a lockdown project which turned into an incredible opportunity for my presenting career. Within just a few months of operating, we had been featured in the London Evening Standard, Metro and on BBC Radio 6 for our amazing work planning and presenting hundreds of quizzes, musical bingo and themed nights for countless corporate events, private parties and charity fundraisers. It was a privilege to work for a women's rights charity that do such incredible work to end violence against women and girls. My responsibilities included:
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive and welcoming office environment at all times.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and office requirements.
- Ensuring all HR matters are dealt with in a timely, compassionate professional manner.
- Building trusting and open relationships with staff, volunteers and trustees to ensure honesty and openness to improve working standards across the board.  
- Working with the Senior Management Team to implement HR strategies and plans, including training plans, and supporting organisation development and change.
- Planning staff social and well being events, as well as assisting with planning of more large scale fundraising events.

We Speak

We Speak helps young people from lower income backgrounds find their authentic voice and use it for life opportunities. I have supported the We Speak team to deliver workshops within universities, schools and other organisations.

Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament

- I assisted with the organisation of CND's participation at Glastonbury festival, as well as managed our participation and presence at Bestival. Further to this, I assisted in and organised CND's civil society events, annual conference, 60th anniversary celebrations, quarterly board meetings and managed the events on site. 
- Office management responsibilities included ensuring a safe, tidy and welcoming office environment at all times for staff, volunteers and visitors, coordinating senior management communications and meetings including the annual CND conference and Union meetings, keeping security procedures up to date and communicated to staff, overseeing all office building maintenance etc.
- Coordinated various aspects of HR including recruitment of staff and volunteers, assisting with facilitating staff performance reviews with senior management, co-ordinated routine HR administration and communicated as necessary any changes and updates of HR policies and staff handbook etc.
- Further to this, I was project lead on the 2018 website redesign, was responsible for multiple budgets, was main point of contact for CND groups at the national office and for day-to-day general enquiries.

With 14+ years of experience in presenting and event management, I am passionate about creating meaningful and memorable experiences for diverse audiences, from intimate dinners to large-scale summits. I have a strong background in the HR, marketing, retail, and CX industries, where I help senior executives share their insights, challenges, and solutions in a collaborative and engaging way.

As a presenter and master of ceremonies at GDS Group, I host over hundreds of events per year, including live and virtual dinners, roundtables, showcases, and summits. I also produce and present on their brand podcast, Strategy for Breakfast, and write compelling copy for their website. Additionally, I am a certified mental health first aider, and I care deeply about supporting the well-being and happiness of my clients, colleagues, and community.
