I am a Chartered Accountant, and Business and Financial Analyst with special interests in Data Analysis, Performance monitoring, and Accounting and Financial systems implementation. I also have the capacity to lead training sessions in Accounting and Financial Management. I have spent about thirty (30) out of thirty-eight (38) years of my working experience as a Banker rising through the ranks as Officer at the National Investment Bank to Deputy Managing Director of Prudential Bank Limited (PBL). I am a Chartered Accountant and Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), United Kingdom, and, also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). I also hold an Executive MBA degree, Finance Option, from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon. I was a Director of PBL as well as Prudential Bank Stockbrokers Ltd (PSBL). I am a former member of the CIMA African Regional Board and a Past Chairman of the Ghana Branch of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS I retired from the position of Deputy Managing Director, Finance and Administration of PBL in 2018, having been promoted over the years to Director of Finance from the position of Financial Controller/Treasurer when I joined the Bank in 1996 from National Investment Bank. Imbued with a high sense of professionalism, I demonstrated a high degree of integrity, initiative, and resourcefulness. I was meticulous and result-oriented whilst performing the following major roles: • I designed and installed the financial management, and the Accounting system and policies of PBL including the development of models for Performance management, financial reporting, management accounts, and Banking Supervision Department (BSD) returns • I designed and led the implementation of the Bank’s Performance reporting system relevant to the Board and various levels of Management. • I played a key role in the value creation process of PBL by identifying key performance drivers that are able to instigate appropriate actions to secure the growth of the Bank from a unit bank to a network of 38 branches in barely 20 years. • I led the implementation of the banking application software of the Bank as well as its digital agenda which resulted in products such as ATMs, SMS alert, online banking, mobile banking, etc. • I led the implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in line with global requirements My proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel spurred my efficiency in performing the above roles.
