I am currently working with International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Garrisa, Kenya as nutrition supervisor – stores in charge of the inventory of the nutrition department to ensure nutrition programs in the field runs smoothly. Previously, I worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres Switzerland as a storekeeper and Warehouse supervisor in the Logistics and Supply department for a period of 5 years and some months. As Medecins Sans Frontieres Switzerland Warehouse Supervisor, I was responsible for planning and supervising the Warehouse and Stock Management and ensuring compliance of MSF standards and procedureat MRIMA Maternity Hospital in Likoni. I have been in charge of warehouse and inventory management in the Unifield, stock reception, Monthly Stock report extraction from the Unifield, management of expired and expiring of drugs in the Unifield, processing of incoming shipment, internal movement of expired drugs to scrap (before expiry), harmonizing Unifield products codes with the stock cards, Unifield clean up, Stocktaking and reconciliation then posting to the Unifield, management of loans and donations in the Unifield through creation of field orders and traceability of stock movement in the Unifield, Pick, pack and ship processes and at times, creation of purchase orders and closing of purchase orders. During my academic journey and work experience with Medecins Sans Frontieres, I have strongly focused on building my quality assurance, communication, coaching, training, time management, flexibility, multi-tasking, planning, organizing and document management. I have a bachelor’s degree in logistics and transport management, diploma in procurement and materials management, certificate in stores management from Technical University of Mombasa. Additionally, Medecins Sans Frontieres Switzerland sponsored me in pursuing a certificate in commodity, logistics and supply chain management at Amref International University. Thanks to my work experience and my academic background, I have developed my communication, problem-solving and management skills. These competences allow me to positively contribute to achieve goals and face challenges while using creative problem-solving. I am detail oriented and meticulous when managing competing priorities within tight deadlines. I can adapt to different situation and I have the required interpersonal skills to build professional connections with co-workers and management.
