First and foremost I have 40 years of service based experience. Corporate Restaurants, Cruise Ships, Superyachts, Hotels, Private Companies, Private Villas. "Service" can often be confused with being a waiter, bartender or butler etc. Many would argue whether being a Captain or Owner's Representative or Business Owner is a service job, but the actual job title is less important than the principle that guides you to do that job. I've tackled every position I've ever had as a service based job. Service to a guest, service to your crew, service to a client, service to a brand, service to your own employees. My "service" to that thing makes it better... If it doesn't, I'm not doing my job. Whatever the title may be. In all the roles and experiences I've had some things remain constant. Be respectful to the people you work with and who work for you. Be consistent, reliable, honest and do the work. Give your team the tools and support needed to achieve their goals and yours. My main strengths are simple. Common sense, the ability to move everyone in the same direction (herding cats) and constantly wanting to learn, grow, achieve results and serve.
