I served as an original and sustaining executive team member, with accountability for relationship building, revenue generation and business operations for an organization that, today, operates in OR, WA, ID and MT. In 2012, I led PayneWest through one of the largest privately held insurance agency transaction U.S. history, merging two diverse management strategies and cultures and shaping a dynamic organization generating $125M+ in annual sales. 

At PayneWest, I also trained and developed insurance agency managers and producers in personal insurance, commercial insurance, surety and employee benefits, and delivered leadership training.

I oversaw risk assessment for the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) disability claims practice. I also developed a proprietary risk assessment platform that audited consistencies in workflows, processes and procedures for adjudicating OPERS member disability claims.

I served in progressive leadership positions for this multi-line insurance producer, ultimately becoming Managing Director (2002). At Marsh, I played a key role in reorganizing the brokerage, transforming it into a thriving, profitable organization with 92%+ client retention.

Additionally, I built a 250-employee subsidiary company, Seabury and Smith, Inc., from the ground up across a three-state Northwest region.

I was one of four nationwide specialists responsible for recruiting, training, funding and developing new sales agents for expansion and distribution of independent insurance agencies. Many of the new producers I brought on board are, today, agency owners.

I'm a strategic, consultative insurance industry leader with a career built around building and leading high-value, high-integrity brokerages within the independent insurance agency sector. My specific expertise lies in training, coaching and developing independent distribution leadership.

A passionate problem solver, I thrive in environments that allow me to do what I do best: break down barriers, forge mutually beneficial partnerships, negotiate intricate contracts and motivate teams to surpass performance goals.
