Projects Manager

Salt Separation Services Limited

Project Engineer, looking after a few projects including Large New Build RO Plant, valued over £1.5million GB, destined for use on the Offshore North Sea  Platform, for leading Blue Chip customer.

This involved looking after, Reverse Osmosis plants from design of P & ID, General Arrgt drawings, to factory build and  testing with customer and all items of procurement and fabrication in between.

Key skills included Design Engineering, using AutoCAD software, pressure vessels, with welding & fabrication knowledge in all grades of stainless and carbon steels.

This is a strong team effort to achieve clear company customer focussed goal.

Project Engineer (Contract Basis)

Gilwood (Fabricators) Company Limited

Under took the role of:  Estimation Engineer who receives information from relevant sources and estimates sizes and costs of resources and materials necessary to perform a work activity, and discusses job issues with colleagues, management and Customers/Supply chain network

Estimate then lead to sales, involve organising job packs for issuing to production, leading to the complete manufacture of stainless steel pressure vessels to ASME VIII or PD5500, including, quotations, design engineering and approval.  Procurement of main materials, & sourcing of resource such as man-hours.

Key skills included Design Engineering, using AutoCAD software, pressure vessels, with welding & fabrication knowledge in all grades of stainless and carbon steels.

Project Engineer

Projects included Project 2000, which involved a multi-million spend on new machine tools to up value of the production throughput on a month by month basis

This involved updating the complete fabrication facility with the latest machine tools of the time.

Whilst in the drawing office, I often attended clients site's to evaluate and draw extension / adaptors from other manufacturers switchgear to Whipp & Bourne switchgear. sites included power stations (AC Gear) such as Eggborough, and Railway Stations (DC Gear) - Liverpool Street etc. 

Whipp & Bourne are no longer in existance, ceased trading circa 2007.
