Over the last 35+ years, I've been operating three businesses, travelling, hiking and enjoying life with my wife and two children. From an early age, I was always interested in how stuff worked. Forever pulling things apart, reverse engineering and trying to put them back together again. So that naturally lead me to a career in industrial design and testing. My Dad worked his entire life for Telestra (Australia's National Teleco) and worked his way up to the head of his department. My path was different; early years in professional PA audio systems and power electronics while attending Swinbourne University at night to achieve formal accreditation. I reached a point where I couldn't advance further, so I changed jobs to a large design consultancy as an industrial product design engineer. This was a defining moment. Despite my Dad offering an easy path into a secure long-term position, I chose a different journey. I worked with clients like TAB, NEC, and Motorola, creating high-reliability industrial products. Little did I know this would form the basis of everything I was to design in my own business. Like most budding entrepreneurs, I had side hustles, and they overtook my full-time job. So I quit and, in 1996, became a full-time solopreneur of my own business Midnight Engineering Pty Ltd. Fast forward to 2004, and my most prominent client for many years designing employee time clock terminals together decided to join forces, forming Midnight Technologies (BundyPlus) in 2004. Heading up the design and development at BundyPlus, we've been able to help thousands of small businesses to large government departments manage their workforce time and attendance. The journey from the kitchen bench as a curious child to one of Australia's leading time and attendance solution providers has been incredible.
