As the Inspector General at Bureau of Naval Personnel, I oversee and manage the internal audit, investigation, inspection, and evaluation functions of the organization. I have more than 5 years of experience in this role, and more than 20 years of experience in the oversight and compliance community. My core competencies include fraud, waste, and abuse prevention, functional modeling, process improvement, root cause analysis, and customer service. I have a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from the University of Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of the Cumberlands. I am also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, where I earned another Master of Arts in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies. My mission is to ensure the integrity, accountability, and efficiency of the Bureau of Naval Personnel, and to provide timely and accurate support and assistance to those seeking help through the Inspector General system. I leverage my skills in attention to detail, operational planning, and data analysis, as well as my extensive military experience, to conduct thorough, fair and impartial investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement, and to recommend appropriate corrective actions to organizational leadership. I also collaborate with other oversight and compliance professionals in the Navy and the Department of Defense, to share best practices and lessons learned.
