I'm proud to have spent two years leading the creative side of Greencore’s multi-award winning L&D line manager framework. Crafting hundreds of videos and infographics to aid 70-20-10 development. 

Specialising in animated explainer videos and hybrid videos that blend live action and motion graphics. Covering topics from money laundering and modern slavery to soft skills for leaders and frontline staff.

I produce videos to help win pitches, explain concepts, teach and inspire. 
Also live event filming for either future promo or to add to a library of longer form real-time talks/panels.

Happy working as part established production units and agencies or more often, taking the lead for corporate teams and L&D companies who have little, or sometimes no prior experience of creating video/audio for their businesses.

I've worked alongside teams in Indonesia, Canada, US, France and Hong Kong to produce content. And yet I do it all mostly within a 3 mile radius of our kids' school so that I can be there at either end of the day. Which means I don't actually fly to many of those places, despite a love of Toblerone.

Produce and present this popular podcast helping freelancers learn from one another... by chatting to creative freelancers about their experiences. With over 300 episodes, there's plenty to learn.

Also, since December 2016 - creating the Being Freelance Vlog documenting my freelance business on YouTube.

Starting January 2019, BFFs (Being Freelance Friends) from around the world started coming together in the new Being Freelance Community - an awesome place to find support and fun in our freelancer days. It includes regular Live Q&As, weekly live awards, mastermind and book club.

February 2021 - launched the course 'How to get started being freelance'. All the essential topics are covered in short, easy to consume videos - all based on my experience and that of the 300+ guests of the BF podcast. The course was scripted, filmed, edited and set up online by myself.

February 2023 - Re-housed the Being Freelance Community away from Facebook to a new home - a paid membership with even more live support and smiles for freelancers. Added a new live show 'The Freelance Disco. I got tuxed up for a fancy awards do by IPSE to be named 'Community Champion' for my work with Being Freelance. 

February 2024 - The Being Freelance Community is recognised as being in the top 10% of communities on Circle (the community hosting platform). Over 10,000 communities are on Circle, so being in the top 10% for engagement, retention and positive experience means a lot.

I'm an experienced, award-winning (ooh, get me) podcast editor and video creator. For the past 10 years I've done this as a freelancer, working with solo companies to global ones. Previous to that I spent over a decade in radio, both on and off air.

In 2015 I launched ‘Being Freelance’ - a popular podcast which has spawned a course and award-winning community to support freelancers around the world. More than anything I want them to realise they’re not alone being freelance. It’s cool to help each other out, celebrate & hang out together both online and in real life.

I create a lot of live video and hosted experiences in the community. In fact I love doing live stuff. Keeps me on my toes, which is good given the number of biscuits I eat.

I also co-host/edit the Doing It For The Kids podcast for freelancing parents which has bagged a couple of British Podcast Awards.
