The Nudge Group works with start-ups and scale-ups globally going through various stages of business growth. We connect them with world class talent and a trusted ecosystem, from pre-seed to Series A, all the way to IPO. 

Over the past 3 years, The Nudge Group has evolved and expanded, with new offices in the UK and Singapore, and our services spanning APAC, the UK, Europe, America, and Canada. While we are still very much working with start-ups and scale-ups to help them recruit the right talent, we have taken a more holistic approach to assist their growth. We have created an ecosystem designed to empower these start-ups to grow and scale across the world, connecting them to a large network of trusted suppliers to help them achieve their goals.

From introducing them to VC and private equity firms to raising their profile with our media channels, Give It A Nudge and Balance the Grind, to building remote teams in the Philippines and Vietnam with our Nudge Remote service, our ecosystem enables these start-ups and scale-ups to plug in and grow.

Ashdown People is a specialised Australian talent management consultancy. Operations commenced in 2006 and we have grown exponentially over that time. Ashdown’s strength is in building relationships to ensure both candidate and client receive “best in class” service levels and business solutions. We view recruitment as a partnership, not a transaction. 

We have helped a number of clients to source staff for challenging roles where geography, specialist technical skill sets or short lead times add additional pressures to the sourcing process. Building on successful resourcing for clients, Ashdown People now has a number of preferred supplier agreements across Australia including Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Fingerprint People Solutions

Founded Fingerprint Consulting as a privately owned recruitment company with offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The company ethos was based around understanding the unique requirements of each client and working in partnership with them to deliver best practice recruitment solutions. This methodology allows Fingerprint to provide a collaborative end to end approach to our clients across all of their present and future staffing requirements. Fingerprint was on a number of Preferred Agreements with these clients and also enjoyed a great deal of exclusive work.  During this time I was involved in all aspects of the business including marketing, accounting, day to day operations, staff management giving a true understanding of business.  

Was heavily involved and lead a due diligence process with a large listed company during the sale of Fingerprint. 

Since selling Fingerprint to Data#3 in March 2008 I remained on to assist growth of the business, I  acted as a State Manager (NSW / ACT) working with other East Coast State Managers within an ASX listed National Recruitment Business.  The role became more focussed on actual forecasting and delivery of actual sales and the organic growth of NSW / ACT business. 

Achievements:
I have always taken a very hands-on approach and continued to take an active part in the day to day recruitment for a number of key clients continually billing over 800K per annum
Grew company from 1 staff member of 16 over 5 years
Created an established boutique agency with a strong reputation
I believe my overall achievements have been the growth and ultimate sale of the business

Founder / Director

Hays IT

Responsibilities:
Managing the Business team covering IT Directors/CIO/Project Manager/Line Management/Business Analysts/Testers/Consultants & IT sales across all industry sections
Management of 4 Senior Consultants
Training, appraisals, marketing, fee generation and business development
Managed a key National Account (Vodafone) with 2 additional members of staff on-site to control all aspects of their contract recruitment and management. 
 In addition to my management duties I also manage a permanent recruitment desk covering all senior positions.  

Achievements:
Team has an annual target of $1.95 million in revenue of which I am expected to personally contribute $400K - at 90% of target at time of leaving Hays

Recruitment Manager

Clarius/Ignite

Account Manager – New Business

Responsibilities:
Hired as part of an International hiring campaign to grow new business
Bringing in new accounts that Candle had no previous dealing with
Cold calling clients, new business – cold desk
Candidate interviews, setting up interviews
Negotiating rates and looking after contractors throughout the contract length  
Developing city client accounts including setting up terms of agreement, presentations, client meeting and high-level negotiation 
Managing an mentoring a resourcer to bring forward in their career
Selling client paid advertising (print & internet)
Putting in place preferred supplier agreements, tender documents and presentations.

Achievements
1st 6 months - 104% of target - $40K per month 
Continued to exceeded target on a consistent basis by $10K per month allowed to hire a resourcer  
After 5 months of over exceeding new target (58K per month) was able to promote my resourcer to a Recruitment Consultant, which bought my target up to $62.5K per month 
On target at time of leaving Candle - annual target was set at $684K

Michael Page

Consultant – Investment Banking IT

Responsibilities:
Hired to help grow Michael Page IT recruitment presence within the City “Square Mile”
Cold calling clients, new business – cold desk
Candidate interviews, setting up interviews
Negotiating rates and looking after contractors throughout the contract length  
Developing city client accounts including setting up terms of agreement, presentations, client meeting and high-level negotiation 
Recruit internal staff to manage these accounts once up and running
Handling revenue targets and own advertising
Building and maintaining a high level, streamlined, accurate database
Client and candidate recruitment, both contract and permanent

Achievements: 
Average billings 100-150K (pounds) per quarter
