Sales managers & sales directors of B2B companies that sell high value stuff often tell their salespeople to sell at a higher level and to get more meetings with "senior decision makers"? Or as I call it, they want them be better at "Selling at C level". The problems are: 1. Most salespeople (and marketing "lead"generation programs) are rubbish at getting meetings with senior executives in target companies. 2. When a salesperson does get in front of a senior decision maker - particularly at C level - they usually stuff it up. When asked, C level decision makers say more than 80% of sales meetings are a waste of their time & offer them little or no value. The result - no second meetings, lost sales, wasted time, wasted opportunity, missed quota, massive mental & emotional pressure on all concerned, sackings, resignation & high salesforce turnover. Everyone loses. I help my clients fix those problems. (I also write articles, here on LinkedIn & in Top Sales Magazine and discuss these issues and solutions to them on various podcasts - as a guest, I'm too lazy to have my own.
