I'm a corporate visual media specialist with over twenty years experience as Commissioning Editor (Television) and later Group Head of Visual Media for BP plc. In May 2021 I founded and now head HerioVisual, a virtual team of forty of the UK's most talented film, video, animation and photography professionals. We work across three main areas: strategic consultancy, visual media production and media asset management. My corporate visual media experience is broad and deep. Specifically: - I have commissioned over 1000 films, videos and stills shoots (production budgets up to £2 million) viewed by millions across all platforms (on-line, broadcast, cinema) - I developed and implemented group-wide corporate visual media strategy, production standards and procedures; - Established and led a multi award-winning internal production team producing over 100 films a year (and three hundred during lockdown in 2020). My team won EVCOM's top internal production prize in 2019. - I led the video and film production response the Deepwater Horizon disaster: three full-time crews across three US states with production hubs in Texas and London produced 190 films in 70 days. - I have consulted and advised on optimizing visual media in corporate communications, from planning, brief development and to supplier selection, roster development and management); - I conceived and led the restoration, digitization and development of the BP Video Library, a collection of over 17,000 films and tapes spanning a century - now one of the world's most important industrial film archives. - My partner and I run our own 'hobby' Facebook page with 1.2 million followers
