✔The move from print-only to digital expanded our audience tremendously from limited publication in North America and Europe to readers from most countries.

✔ Responsible for overall demand generation strategy, including key metrics, advertising, digital marketing, and events which drove 32% YoY pipeline growth. 

✔ Implemented new portfolio marketing programs (Smarter Systems, Flexible Information Platform) in conjunction with a new management system that optimized team resources and performance.  Managed million+ annual budgets; successfully drove major digital marketing shifts, reducing Cost Per Lead, enabling pipeline and revenue growth.

✔ Took over demand generation strategy after a weak 1st quarter and delivered 21% growth by year-end. Collaborated with geography teams to design, build, and execute successful campaigns which exceeded revenue targets thru a strategic shift to digital outreach and microsites.

Demand Generation Strategy Director

Senior people manager of product marketing for the IBM data management business unit. Responsible for multiple enterprise database product lines, including DB2, Informix, Data Warehousing, and Data Studio. Recruited and built new 15-member high-performance product marketing, sales enablement, and marketing communications team recognized for successful product launches such as DB2 Viper and pureXML. Helped integrate teams from acquisitions of Princeton Softech and Solid Information Management into product marketing.

✔ Drove significant change in product branding, messaging, and content focused on simplifying the story and using creative bold confident business value messages back by positive client references.

✔ Led design and execution of the ‘Viper’ Launch, which drove 40% YoY growth of the marketing-driven pipeline. Drove branding simplification, positioning, whole product, and marketing strategy changes which dramatically strengthened market demand and delivered substantial revenue growth and market share gains.
