Responsible for the continued development and improvement of the website in relation to key business objectives. 

This involved assessing the current trading platform, making suggestions for improvements and managing these through to completion alongside a team of developers and other stakeholders.
 
Part of my role also included the redesign, development and improvement of other group websites such as Hirebase, Electricbase and Lintels.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 
• Progress website KPI’s through improvement and innovation

• Continually analyze the website and make developments where needed improving users overall experience of the website

• Ensure all content is seasonally relevant and up to date

• Define what our customer journey should be for different business areas

• Assess competitors’ websites and associated content to highlight new opportunities

• Refining the look and feel of the website and bringing it up to date, specifying technical changes where appropriate

• Updating copy content whilst supporting marketing’s digital needs

Key Responsibilities:

Own Google Analytics – interrogating data, reviewing KPI performance and reporting to Management

Conversion rate trends, across channels and devices – desktop and mobile

Monitor and report on bounce rate across landing pages and site load time

In depth understanding of Customer behaviour – device, peak order times, browsing behaviour

Product conversion rate and key category performance metrics

Jointly manage relationships with the supplier in regards to website activity and promotions

Working alongside Commercial Director to ensure categories are merchandised to suit trading conditions, navigation reflects current focus and recommended products are kept up to date

Manage the Promotional Calendar to ensure all promotions and campaigns are launched correctly across all platforms and track results

Oversee and own content, product and pricing

Report to the business current performance and any issues

Monitor key search terms

Inform buyers and Commercial Director on key themes and highly searched categories or products to maximise product sales opportunities
