Steve Cain Hired to Lead LTCI Partners Sales Efforts

LAKE FOREST, IL. -- October 6, 2009 -- LTCI Partners, a nationwide Long-Term Care Insurance wholesaler, is pleased to announce that Steve Cain has joined LTCI Partners to lead its sales team. Cain brings over 12 years experience in the area of specialized insurance solutions, most recently as Senior Vice President and the National Sales Leader of Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) for Marsh Private Client Services, a division at Marsh USA, Inc., where he helped build Marsh into one of the industry's largest wholesale and retail distributors of LTCI. His focus at LTCI Partners will be on long-term care as an employee and executive benefit and institutional long-term care relationships. 

Prior to joining Marsh, Cain worked for a third-party administrator introducing several insurance carriers' products into the brokerage market. With additional experience that ranges from the home office to retail sales, to the brokerage market, Cain has gained valuable insight on all aspects of the industry, from sales and marketing, underwriting, policy administration, and claims. 

To support Cain's commitment to enhance awareness of the LTCI industry, he regularly addresses industry groups such as the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), State Bar Associations, the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI), the Society of Actuaries (SOA), the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Company Background

In January 1980, LifeCare was incorporated in Arizona as a reinsurer (then called ADCO Re). In 1988, current management formed 21st Century Life and Health Company, Inc., a California insurance holding company, which acquired ADCO Re and renamed it LifeCare Assurance Company. In 1989, LifeCare increased its capital and surplus and expanded its license to a Life and Disability Insurer. 

LifeCare's primary activities are developing, administering, and reinsuring long term care insurance joint ventures. LifeCare and its reinsurance partners provide long term care reinsurance programs customized to the needs of insurers, both for new business and for closed blocks of inforce business. 

LifeCare's executive and administrative operations are located in Woodland Hills, California.
