Most marketing is boring. Especially small business marketing. But it needn't be. In fact, marketing is the one place where you can have a bit of fun. Inject humour. Elicit a smile or chuckle. The fortunate reality, though, is that small businesses don't have the money to spend on creating boring campaigns like their industry-leading competitors. Industry leaders have to play it safe and build brand awareness by bludgeoning the market with the same messages ad nauseam. So if you're a small business with limited funds, rejoice. You have the freedom to create marketing that's hopefully a little outside the lines. Let's face it, the things we remember, be it people or movies or brands, are the ones that are interestingly different. Be different. Not safe.
