My role is to build out a voice for digital companies in Lancashire who range from large global brands to startups getting million dollar investments, this will encompass the enablement of groups across the region who will collaborate together and drive new business, provide input on the skills required for the future and innovate themselves now ready for the new business ahead.

Digital Lancashire is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that has been established to shine a light on the digital sector in the county, whilst providing a focus for skills development, recruitment, support, engagement and collaborations. 

The mission is to provide support to both individuals and organisations working in or aspiring to work in the digital sector in Lancashire. This includes support with skills development, funding and investment, helping develop the right infrastructure, inward investment and business development to help member companies grow.

Built a team/program from zero to multi million dollar revenues across the whole of Europe, using limited resources the channel were trained and enabled to sell Zendesk either in a co-sell or independent model and drove sales into some high profile accounts. 

Responsible for building  out a high performance partnership program across Europe executing sales across all market segments, whilst constructing a compelling channel proposition to drive longer term MRR growth and enable partners to see the value across multiple revenues streams.

Enabling the team with resources to build pipeline in all territories and sectors whilst monitoring close rates, developing a long term partner enablement program with assets in place to accelerate partner sales opportunities, training the sales organisation on partner capabilities and working across all business units to facilitate and enable increased sales revenue through a focused strategic channel.

Manager Sun Startup Essentials EMEA

I Managed Sun's new target growth business unit Europe,focused on SMEs/startups, owning the sales target for EMEA, challenged with increasing brand awareness, marketing supporting for a virtual team of 10 people across multiple European countries. Owning the goal to deliver new customers to Sun, entailed managing the EMEA marketing budget for sponsorship and supporting activities whilst also publicly representing Sun as a spokeperson.

Running and utilising virtual teams across multiple marketing/sales business units helped enable me to grow a $m dollar business unit in under 18 months by reacting to the market needs quickly and efficitently, focusing on the customer.

Built an awareness of Sun across Europe in a predominantly cloud/Dell/HP focused marketplace, helping to soften Sun's brand and creating new advocates to evangelise the organisation.

Manage commercial aspects of multiple  partner relationships, including 5 resellers, channel development, ISVs and implementation partners looking at a revenue to Sun of $50m+
Extended out “Make IT fly” to a wider audience and continued to build a developer community around Solaris/Java.

I have spent 20 years working in channel roles and have specialised in accelerating revenue at global SaaS companies through the building and running of indirect sales programs. My sole focus is working with SaaS companies who are at that point where they are looking at indirect sales channels, have inquiries from potential partners, and are uncertain where to start, this is where I work with them as a consultant to see if their product can be sold through a channel, what that channel to market is and then takes them there.

I have had clients across the US and UK in which I have acted as an interim CPO, CRO, VP Channel, or just as an advisor to the founders. 

I work in multiple ways but it's about what is best for the client, I can be remote, on-site, part-time, full-time, short-term, long term is about the flexibility that you need to make your business successful and meet our mutually agreed targets. I can also provide a channel-in-a-box service, and pre-built templates that you can use to start building out an indirect model now, with monthly support calls to drive implementation and mentoring.
