When I was starting my first business with only five products, I knew that retail and the connection with customers were my passion. I got the possibility to learn at IKEA and Apple how I could improve the customer journey with passion, engagement, creating a learning environment, and striving to improve every day. Leading teams in such vibrant environments at Apple and IKEA were two of the most encouraging experiences in my life. Hamburg, Dresden, Haarlem, and Berlin were the perfect places to grow as a human and as a leader by discovering the culture, learning new languages, and connecting with the local people. That's what inspired me all the time: discovering new possibilities! In my training as a Bachelor Professional in Trade and Commerce, I learned how to run a business with all the disciplines it has to offer. From controlling to human resource management, from marketing to accounting, and most importantly, how to bring it to life in an organization. As a leader, I got feedback that I am an open and interested person who creates an environment of learning and achieves success with and through the teams I lead. Engagement and passion for the possibilities help me lead in a motivating way. How great is it to see somebody be proud of the great job they have done? "If you never want to be criticized, then never start something new." is one of my guiding principles for seeing the possibilities in every challenge. In a fast-changing environment, I discovered more and more beautiful moments to learn from, and that was the best way to improve myself. That's my passion: to see people smile and be proud of their accomplishments. Now it is time for the next step towards my goal of becoming a social entrepeneur.
