Enjoying life as a semi-retiree. Keeping fit and healthy eating has allowed me to get out of the house and do fun things. One of my most fun things to do is to hike for miles in the local mountains, just me, nature and God. Unfortunately, I did not complete college, as I found out, working on the trucks, in a Teamster Union job, paid really well. Left the Teamster Union to be a long-haul driver. I did tire of the months away from home and eventually got a job with a local trucking company in So Cal. As I approached 40 years of age, my body told me it didn’t want to do this anymore. Went back to college and got my degree in accounting. Started work with an accounting software development company. After 20 years, I went out on my own to work from home. Today I am a widower, as my lovely wife of 23 years is in heaven. Two totally amazing adult children, one boy and one girl. Plus, two wonderful grandchildren. Life is good.
