I have been involved in the Energy industry for the past 18 years!! Since starting my Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Glasgow, I have had an interest in the technology advancements that will provide more efficient and clean energy. After graduating, I entered the recruitment industry with Spencer Ogden, a global leader in recruitment for energy projects. I spent the first six years in the European and African energy markets before transferring to the US, and I have been directly involved in 1000s of high-level placements. My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish Volta Search in early 2024, driven by a vision to revolutionize the scaling of energy and climate technology companies. Our unique approach, the Volta process, leverages a 24/7 online client platform. This platform allows clients to access a shortlist for each of their requirements, complete with a behavioral assessment, key competency questions, and a video introduction from each candidate. This innovative approach is designed to enhance candidate evaluation, mitigate bias, improve suitability, eliminate bad hiring, and significantly boost 1st-year new hire retention from a typical 70% to an impressive 96%+.
