Subbanna has over 25 years of experience in building & managing some of the most successful India & International Food, Beverage & Retail brands. Subbanna is a catering college graduate from Bangalore IHM and started his career at Taj Groups of Hotels as trainee chef before moving on with Marriot Boston. He was also a professor of culinary at IHM Bangalore, the very institute from which he graduated. Subbanna has played significant role in shaping Café Coffee Day to become one of the largest Café chain in the country. During his stint of 10 years as Head of Food Beverage he has rolled out many signature beverages and food which have become house hold name in Young India. He was also given the responsibility to roll out & manage the first international Café at Vienna. During his work at Au Bon Pain, the international bakery chain, which is based out of Boston, Subbanna is instrumental in chalking out their India strategy, from conceptualization to implementation. Over a period of five years Subbanna has set up one of the finest state of the art Bakery with 30 outlets across Bangalore. While working with Walmart-India as VP- FRESH, Frozen, Bakery, Subbanna is involved in adding new profitable concepts to improve market share of Fresh Category and increase the profitability. He created a profitable business of bakery and was recognized with “entrepreneur of the year award- 2015”. Now, chasing the dream of entrepreneurship Subbanna has setup - a high standard bakery manufacturing plant at Bangalore and supplies to many B2B customers. He also owns, * kafe viva - bakery cafe * baky - healthy vegetarian bakery Subbanna is a passionate man; always has time for running, outdoor sports & loves travelling. Like an avid marathoner he believes life is a long Run. Subbanna presently lives in Bangalore.
