I am not your typical brand agency founder. In fact I never wanted to create an agency. Yet here I am spearheading Stori. Where we work with some of the biggest B2B brands in the world. IBM, Pearson & Hitachi to name a few. Last year we generated our clients over $150 million of sales value. More recently we launched our B2B creator network, clocking over 100 million views. And we are not slowing down anytime soon. In fact the opposite 😊 So how did this happen? Well, let’s start with it wasn’t easy. I always had entrepreneur blood running through me. Ever since I launched a school newspaper at the age of 10. Even though the Headmistress shut it down because it got to popular. (need to get entrepreneurship supported in schools - a personal mission!!) But since then their have been many failures. An online travel start-up that took more bookings offline. An expert network that we entered months before the entire industry collapsed. An event booking system that was too ahead of its time. In fact I was so addicted to start-up culture, I travelled across North America & Asia to work with other successful founders. Even helped setup one of the first business incubators in India. But during all these learnings & adventures one thing became clear. I never experienced challenges getting customers. The start-up failures were more a result of timing the market wrong. As oppose to lack of revenue. And this is exactly what businesses started to ask me to do -. help them get customers!! But wait there’s one important part I missed out. Early on, fresh out of university I was lucky enough to work for the biggest brand innovation agency in the world. Wasn't for me but learned tons. Especially on how big brands work. Thought that chapter was forgotten. Its only when you go back join the dots that you realise the value of learnings. The eureka moment – big brands could benefit the most from the growth strategies being used by start-ups. And that is how Stori was born 😊
