Internal Communications and Engagement Coordinator 

Hootsuite

- Manages front desk operations which includes: 
Welcoming employees, vendors and guests 
Coordinating shipping & receiving and security logistics

-Liaises with vendors, suppliers and contractors to ensure Hootsuite is receiving expected service and quality levels.

-Collaborates with the Global Facilities Team to seek continuous improvements, develop maintenance plans, and schedule repairs as needed  to support our operations.  

-Manages ticketing systems for office inquiries, repairs and improvements for multiple offices.

-Provides regular facilities communication and announcements/updates as required, as well as keeping employees up to date on existing policies within the office.

-Collaborate with other teams to coordinate special events, support onboarding and off-boarding of employees and to coordinate access to other Hootsuite locations. 

-Assists with Health & Wellness programs, occupational health and safety support tasks, and environmental reporting initiatives.

Welcome to #smallbizbuzz 
This year Small Biz Buzz was born. A new platform and initiative to showcase the incredible humans who work 24/7, 365 to create for us and them.

#smallbizbuzz was created to do a weekly spotlight on a small business/content creator(s), especially those owned by BIPoC/LGBTQ2SIA+ Persons. 

Over the course of a week and using the power of social media we will be showcasing you, your team/helpers (if applicable), and your incredible creations! Using FB/IG/TikTok/Twitter we'll be spreading the word far and wide!

Back to Basics Podcast: Events + Community

As a podcast producer and host I work to serve our communities by bringing to light important creative topics. Currently I have launched Back to Basics: Events + Community. A podcast created from the idea of understanding the role events play in bringing together community. It was created in the midst of several global upheavals and a sudden loss of constant in-person connection. Back to Basics is about finding our way back to those connections in a new world. About finding and nurturing those connections through various events.

Maintain the day-to-day office services, improve facility operations, and promote organizational change by planning and executing office improvement projects and internal office moves. I support the Real Estate and Workplace Services team and assist with office administration and event support.

Workplace Services Coordinator

Mobify

With one foot in the People & Culture side of the team, and the other in the Finance side, I was a key support for the incredible Operations team at Mobify. I was constantly switching gears between administrative tasks and hands-on work to keep our busy office running smoothly.

A few of the tasks I headed, and was involved in:
-Was and still am a proud ambassador of Mobify - you'll greet all our visitors and receive packages
-Helped coordinate our super fun internal events, as well as the various external ones that we host to support our local tech community!
-Completed ad-hoc tasks for teams and leaders such as meeting space bookings (internal and external), organizing senior leadership lunches and planning days, and more.
-Helped to set-up business technology for all incoming employees, upgrading technology for present employees! Also known as IT support.
-Maintained an organized, tidy, and professional looking office space
-Ensured our kitchens are stocked with food and beverages so our Mobifyers are fuelled throughout their days
-Maintained existing relationships and develop new ones with local vendors/suppliers
-Helped facilitate guild initiatives (Social Guild, Health and Safety Guild, Office Guild)
-Ensured meeting rooms are stocked with all supplies needed
-Assisted with Accounts Payable, Expense Reports and Bank/Credit Cards Reconciliations

Accountable for delivering outrageous experiences and leading Team Members to do the same. As a team leader I supported the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with opening, closing and leadership duties as empowered by the Store Manager.

Leading the team on the daily to foster relationships with our community and nurturing them, allowing us to serve them in the best way possible. Also setting intentions with the team to reach and exceed our goals. Building a team that respects one another, and is like a family!
