I spent majority of my life being a student in a classroom. Total of 19 years to be exact. Becoming a board certified practitioner was one of the best days of my life! However, as fulfilling as my career is, it did not take long before I hit my first burnout point. What I realized was that I have absolutely no control over my time to accomplish other important visions I have for myself. I looked around and discovered that majority of people have the exact same issue in life. We can have our dream careers, helping lots of people every day but cannot help yourself to a flexible lifestyle. Many of us are ready to take charge of our life and make changes to create more options for ourselves. I took a step back and reflected on what I want my life to be like. More importantly, how do I get there? This led to the start of my journey in entrepreneurship. For the first time, I can see myself being able to have success in more than one area, instead of restricting myself to my career only. I have learned to step out of my comfort zone repeatedly, knowing that every step I take leads me closer to my goal. The most important message I want to pay forward is that age, professional background, level of education, race, gender do NOT matter if you have the desire to learn and build something for yourself. Regardless of where you are in life, it is never too late to pursue more if you are ready to!
