Presently, I am working as a Sorting Assistant in the operational wing of the Department of Posts i.e. RMS (Railway Mail Service) which comes under the Ministry of Communication of Government of India. I was the topper of the SSC CHSL examination in 2013 (through which I got selected in this Department) and 2014 (through which I wanted to change my service cadre from Sorting Assistant to PACO). With that confidence of cracking a central level competitive examination, two times in a row, I started preparing for UPSC in 2014 and gave my last attempt in the year 2019; while continuing my job. Though, I was a Hindi Medium student in school time, I chose the medium for UPSC as English. The Hindu newspaper was a nightmare for me. The journey of becoming an IAS aspirant started with enthusiasm and ended in a deep depression. Honestly speaking, I couldn't even clear the prelims in any of those attempts. The last failed attempt was a mortal blow to my confidence because I was not able to accept the failure. Life becomes upside down when you dream big, put everything into fulfilling it, fail to do that, and fall at last. The gravity of the thought of the upcoming future fills with fear, anxiety, stress, and depression. This gravity acts as a supporting factor in your free fall. You hit the ground zero, all your big dreams shatter there, and you just die within. But in the midst of that storm are the moments that define you when you don't quit, rise up, and don't fall down again. I firmly believe in this line. I took a break for almost 2 years. Parents' tantrums were- "Kya jarurat hai yeh sab karne ki jab hath me ek government job hai? Jo mile usme khush raho." Meanwhile, I did a self discovery that I wanted to write something and I wasn't taking it seriously. It gave me the very reason to come out of my depression. With no writing experience or any degree/diploma in creative writing, I started writing a love story with just a firm thought that, "No matter what happens, I will do it." Fortunately, my imagination worked well. *The Indications*, the debut book of this series(THE LAST CONNECTION OF LOVE) is now available on Amazon. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0BP8C9XP5?ref=myi_title_dp P.S. - There is no "glorious" path out there. Glory comes to you when you discover what makes you happy and you figure out a way to build a life around it. I discovered it after a big fall. I hope each and everyone of you will discover it. Till then, "Thoda Intezar ka maza lo." #SureshKumarPanjwani *Malang*
