Since joining KPMG in 2017 I have gained considerable experience in the area of General IT Controls, Financial Audit and Assurance.
I have worked on a number of SOX and non-SOX engagements on a wide range of companies in a multitude of sectors including aviation finance, agri food processing, insurance and retail companies.

My role as part of these engagements included the following:
- Conducting client interviews to gain an in depth understanding of the IT Environment, the controls in place and ensuring there are sufficient IT controls surrounding the client's financial processes;
- Gathering client data and on analysis of this data, reporting on the effectiveness of the IT control environment to Heads of Department;
- Advising clients on best practice procedures in relation to IT compliance;
- Applying the principles of KAM (KPMG Audit Methodology) to design in depth testing procedures and complete highly detailed audit documentation;
- Analyzing SOC1 reports for a number of fund administrators.

Manager on a grassroots campaign to lobby the government to maintain the level of excise on alcohol. As part of my job I interacted and reported to an array of stakeholders. I also liaised with government departmental officials on issues of excise and organised meeting with TD's and key stakeholders.
