I am a coach and a trainer. My mission is to spark authentic growth and transformation, and I founded Turtle Fire Coaching and Training with this mission in mind! I believe every person has the ability to navigate the currents of work and life with the same strength, grace, agility, and self-sufficiency that sea turtles exemplify as they traverse thousands of miles across oceans every year. Sometimes, amidst challenges, our inner spark dims, or we feel stuck, disconnected, or disempowered, which translates into our lives, our communities, our work, and our organizations. We stop swimming and, instead, let ourselves be tossed and turned, sucked under and spit out by the riptides and waves. With over 20 years' experience in the international education, workforce development, and nonprofit realms, I've harnessed a deep understanding of personal and professional growth - and the blocks that stand in the way of transformation. My goal is to help individuals and organizations nagivate through those blocks. Whether I'm guiding someone through a pivotal career transition (or transition AWAY from a long career!), honing a manager's supervisory talents, building leadership capabilities, sharpening communication techniques, or fortifying team dynamics, my approach is always adaptive, directly resonating with the unique needs of the individual or institution I'm supporting. Ultimately, my purpose is to help people and organizations start swimming again through finding that underlying spark and growing it into a gorgeous, glowing campfire - because obviously, campfires mean fun, connection, community, and, of course, S'Mores. :D
