o Leads the internal and external communications for UNC Center for Maternal and Infant Health (UNC CMIH), including thought leadership for the executive director.
o Contributes to the fund development and strategic planning for all programs within UNC CMIH.
o Maintains the UNC CMIH brand identity, which includes the rebranding strategy and launch of new website (www.mombaby.org), social media presence, updated mission statement, and brand kit.
o Presents at national and community conferences and webinars; a ghostwriter and author of news articles, journals, textbooks, and blogs.

Director of Communications

o Directs communications for all five workgroups within the National Preconception Health and Health Care Initiative (PCHHC), a public-private partnership of over 70 national, state, and local organizations working to advance preconception health in the US. 
o Manages partnership relations and strategies for PCHHC's 75+ organizations nationwide.
o Spearheads the development, execution and analytics for the Initiative's social and traditional media relations strategy for PCHHC and their flagship initiatives and programs, Before and Beyond (www.beforeandbeyond.org) and Show Your Love (www.showyourlovetoday.com).
o Launched Show Your Love, the first consumer preconception resource and social campaign for young adults, including website development, social media channels, national Tweet Chat and webinars, all PR and marketing strategies and communications efforts. 
o Developed a Show Your Love Diversification Grant Program; manages 14 grantee organizations nationwide to diversify the Show Your Love campaign. Presented key findings are numerous national conferences and published in a global medical journal.
o Lead the Show Your Love Ambassador Program: community of young adults encouraging healthy behaviors online. Leverages partnership opportunities through the community engagement.

o Developed strategies and implements the media relations plan across numerous accounts; maintains relationships with reporters at top-tier and trade outlets
o Supported the FDA approval and launch of three top pharmaceutical companies’ products in the women’s health, gastroenterology, and surgical/medical device categories; drove national unbranded and branded health awareness campaigns
