16th December 2023 was the day my life changed. On this day, I left my corporate job and stepped into full-time content creation and freelancing. I’ve managed to get some noteworthy results on: - Pinterest - Substack - Medium (Check my experience section for complete details.) Now, I’m building a personal brand in public and helping others do the same. This might sound a lot without context. So, let’s break it down one by one. ✨Life Before 2024: - I was an Editorial HOD in a book publishing company, where I started as a jr. editor. - Worked directly and indirectly on more than 900 books - Voiced various projects (yeah, I’m a VO artist too!) - A turning point (moreover, a strong gut feeling) compelled me to leave that company in December 2023. (Side note: I was in my worst “mental state” at this point.) ✨2024 Happened, and… - I started recovering from the physical and mental burnout (it took me more than 9 months to get back on track and adjust to this new chapter of my life). - Meanwhile, began posting more consistently on social platforms. - Also, pivoted to freelancing, which helped me grow my network and income more than I ever expected. ✨LinkedIn & Me (In 2024) I started posting on LinkedIn in June 2024. Back then, I was using the same idle a/c that I created in 2020. Grew it to 7k followers, but eventually deleted it in December 2024. Reason? I initially connected with people who didn’t align with my goals, and they were hampering my reach. When I tried to remove those connections, the LinkedIn algorithm flagged me as a bot and banned my account. I somehow got it back, but the same thing happened thrice, and I deleted that a/c. ✨LinkedIn & Me (In 2025) Jan 2025… I created a new LinkedIn account. However, my profile got shut down again due to verification issues, and I couldn’t actively post for almost three months. I communicated with the LI team and the government authorities in my country, and finally got verified. Since then, this journey has been incredible.
