I bought my first MacBook (M4 Air).
Alhamdulillah

This wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t started on LinkedIn.

The first few months were tough.
But after 5-6 months, everything slowly started to feel BEAUTIFUL.

(It’s really super hard to start on LinkedIn, btw.)

When I started, this wasn’t even a dream. (Never thought about that)
Now… Alhamdulillah for everything!!

Yes, this may be a small number but I can proudly say: 

I genuinely built every second on this platform authentically. No AI bs... No pods... pure human struggle behind it.

Nothing looked good for the first 6 months here.

I was like.. I'm wasting my time here.

(Somehow) I knew:

➞ LinkedIn rewards the people who refuse to leave and stay for long.

Because, LinkedIn is less about "getting clients" and more about "building your brand and authority".

And THIS thing always takes time.

To simply put: The algorithm rewards "familiarity":
↳ Your audience needs to see your name 15-20 times before they notice you EXIST (and decide to HIRE you).

Quitting at day 60 means your 2 months of work goes straight to waste.

All the strategy in the world means NOTHING if you're gone by month 3. Period.

If you're putting all your efforts into LinkedIn and you're still struggling to get clients...

...that may be due to one of these reasons (or all of them):

1. Your offer is weak

You can post for years here but if your offer isn't CLEAR, no one will buy from you.

2. Your pitch isn’t structured the right way

Most people send DMs that sound either too salesy or too vague and generic to care about or grab attention.

3. Your connection list is full of random people

Your 1st Degree connections is your biggwst asset. If you're not connected with the RIGHT poeple, your content will land nowhere and that means zero wins.

4. Your content has a problem

You're either talking about yourself, sharing informational content OR not showing "how you solve real human problems."

So what should you do instead?

→ Create an offer that solves a real human problem
→ Write your pitch in a way that is UNIQUELY you
→ Add your ICPs + fellow creators to ur connection list
→ Post with INTENT only

The only way you win on this platform is this:

↳ Be intentional in your approach.

Without intention: You post for 12 months & get 0 clients.
With intention:You post for 5 months and can get 15 clients.

I wrote 400+ LinkedIn posts for myself and clients in 2025.

(and the ones that made me nervous to "post" performed best)

So let me give you 3 patterns that worked for us in terms of revenue:

1. The simpler you write, the more people read: People love to read and understand your viewpoint instantly. Follow Jasmin's "Dear Son... Love, Dad" formula. (See pinned comments)

2. The first 2 lines make or break everything: I've tested this so many times. And every time, it worked amazingly. Speak to human emotions. If you can grab their attention in the first 5 seconds, they'll definitely give you their next 5 minutes.

3. Align your content with your profile: Your posts should match what your profile says you do. This is very important when you want to: (a) build trust with your content (b) move people from reading your posts to DMing you

Simply put:

1. Simple language > fancy words 
2. Hook emotions in 5 seconds or lose them forever
3. Match your content to what your profile promises

Because they don't want to EXPOSE themselves. 🙂

If I had to audit content for AI voice...
These are the 9 patterns I'll eliminate EVERY TIME:

(📥 Save this before your next post)

1. "Delve" and "Insight" (blah blah)
→ No human talks like this. Remove it immediately.

2. "Most people don't need X. They need Y." 
→ This is everyone's favorite. Lot of gurus included, you know them ;). Just say like you're talking to a friend.

3. "It's not about X, it's about Y" 
→ AI loves this formula . Many posts start with this pattern. Say what it is about, directly.

4. Opening with metaphors
→ "Think of it like a garden..." Every AI does this. Start with the real story and numbers.

5. Emoji bullet points
→ 🔥💡✨ Sorry but these aren't bullet symbols. It's clearly a red flag you didn't write it.

6. Overuse of periods  
→ More than one per line = AI confession. Use semi-colon.

7. Triple adjectives (not always)
→ "Robust, comprehensive, and strategic" = AI. Pick ONE strong word.

8. Zero specific details
→ AI talks in concepts. Humans talk in stories, numbers and Tuesday afternoon panic calls.

9. "Most [things] aren't X. They're Y." 
→ Another AI go-to pattern for fake information. Real writers skip the setup and prove the point with examples.

Gut it and start from the real story: What happened? What surprised you? What did the client say on the call?

Most people copy-paste AI output straight to LinkedIn. Then complain "the engagement is dead".

You can spot AI content from miles away. :)

I tell every new client this same thing on our first call: 

"You won't get clients in 3 months."

WHY?

Long-term LinkedIn success is built on 3 pillars working together:

Pillar 1: CONSISTENCY

This means showing up 3-5 per week whatever happens.

↳ You can't wait for inspiration to post consistently. The regular rhythm itself builds the momentum you need.

Pillar 2: PATIENCE 

Means accepting that 90 days is the bare minimum before you see any real traction on your profile.

↳ It works differently for different profiles though.

Pillar 3: STRATEGY 

You should follow the right sequence: profile optimization → content planning → network building → outreach + others

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The brutal truth is that removing any single pillar collapses everything else:

1. Consistency without strategy = fluff and noise
2. Strategy without patience = burnout w/o results
3. Patience without consistency = procrastination = nothing

I kept all 3 pillars intact for 5-6 months straight (when I started)...

THAT made the whole thing easy to understand. 

Notice this! Most people quit around month 2 because they're working with only one or two pillars instead of all three.

Going from 1.4K to 15K followers in 2025 confirmed what I've suspected for years: most LinkedIn advice is fundamentally flawed.

Here are 6 strategic shifts that worked for me in 2025:

1. I STOPPED CHASING VIRALITY

↳ I optimized for 50 high-intent prospects who could actually convert, not thousands of passive scrollers. Yes, my engagement dropped at first but conversation and DMs quaity improved dramatically.

2. DELETED MY CONTENT CALENDAR (Back to it in 2026)

↳ Sounds crazy but rigid posting schedules kills authenticity. I posted when I actually had sth worth saying. Real, human + authentic advice that come from my experience and exposure.

3. COMMENT SECTION AS A CONVERSION & NETWORKING FUNNEL

↳ Less volume than 2024, but higher intent. I designed my comments to BUILD relationships and move prospects + peers through a clear path: Comments → DMs → WhatsApp → Calls

4. I SHARED RAW MOMENTS & CLIENT WINS

↳ The messy stuff. A post about losing a $21K client got more responses than any "how to" guide I ever wrote.

5. ELIMINATED LOW-ROI ENGAGEMENT 

↳ No more performative comments on out-of-niche BIG CREATORS posts. I concentrated entirely on my specific market vertical. 10 strategic comments in the right places > 100 generic and superficial ones

6. AND MOVED MY AUDIENCE OFF LINKEDIN 

↳ We can't blindly trust one platform. It's always a better option to split your audience across different platforms. And so... I did.

And it has nothing to do with LinkedIn, their industry or how smart they are.

I've worked with multinational CEOs, founders and professionals across different markets. 

They all have different personalities, styles and different approaches to everything.

But when I look at those who are winning VERSUS those still struggling, there's this BIG pattern I can't unsee anymore:

They all have clarity about "what they're NOT doing".

→ Actual boundaries!

They know which opportunities to ignore. Which clients aren't worth the revenue. They in fact ignore trends everyone else is jumping on.

On the other side: The struggling ones are everywhere. Chasing everything and afraid to close doors.

The successful ones have fewer projects, fewer clients, fewer "strategies", (and fewer problems 😀)

They go DEEPER instead of wider.

(Dare to listen?): LinkedIn will never tell you this because it doesn't fit the growth narrative everyone's selling.

Success is all about stopping the WRONG things entirely.

Success gets easier once you stop repeating the same mistakes.

Maybe the question isn't "what should I be doing?"
Maybe it's "what should I stop doing".
