* Provide regulatory support for Proliant Dairy’s whey permeate ingredients and facility approvals for food and feed applications in the US and export countries. 

* Support Proliant Biologicals/Entera Health with compliance questions on Immunoglobulins and BSA, provide guidance on GRAS ingredient, dietary supplement and medical food, as well as international registrations and export approvals. 

* Provide training on product recall readiness and FDA/State inspection preparedness and manage and grow a team of 3 RA team members.

Kemin Industries, Inc. - Food Technologies

Developed and executed global regulatory strategies to drive worldwide business objectives forward. 

Provided guidance and coaching for 7 regulatory professionals while in global role. Kemin Food Technologies was separated into regional businesses in Jan 2015. Thereafter responsible for the Americas with 4 direct reports. 

Successfully managed regulatory approvals for propionic acid based antimicrobial for processed meat in US (FSIS), Canada (Health Canada), Australia/New Zealand (FSANZ) and Mercosul countries. Extended approvals for use of Rosemary extract as antioxidant in 11 additional food applications in China (MOH) and its new approval in Brazil. New approvals and extensions of green tea catechin palmitate ester as flavor modifier (FEMA), antioxidant in fats in China (MOH) and pending GRAS Notice with FDA as antioxidant for multiple food categories. 

Provided direction and guidance for all product related compliance and regulatory related communication with customers, regulatory agencies and third party certifiers. 

Supported commercial team with customer visits and calls to provide guidance on compliance, labeling and claims language.

Interfaced with key regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA/FSIS, IDIA, IFANCA, OU, HC, CFIA etc.). 

Successfully led inspections and audits by FDA, IDIA, QAI (organic), IFANCA (Halal), and participated in FAMI-QS and FSSC 22000 certification audits.

Served in Food Technologies leadership team, acquisition team and Food safety team.

Provided technical training on yeast products, forage additives, probiotics and enzymes. 

Managed international and domestic product registrations to enable sales in various countries. 

Served on AFIA’s Dairy Nutrition committee.

Laporte Biochem’s Milwaukee facility was acquired by Lallemand in 1998.

Managed application research program with Universities and USDA in support of commercial objectives. Identified new product opportunities for microbial additives (bacteria and yeast) for use as feed additives  and preservatives through University relationships and technology licensing. 

Promoted product line in customer meetings and provided commercial team with competitive research to ensure awareness of new developments in the market. 

Handled product registrations with Agriculture Canada.

Served on AFIA Dairy Nutrition committee and MEFT Council.

ZENECA Bioproducts (Imperial Chemical Industries)

Led application research with new bacterial strains and enzymes in-house as well as with Universities and USDA.

Provided technical support to commercial team. 

Successfully managed new product registrations with Agriculture Canada and regulatory issues concerning import/export of bacterial products.
