I am running to make change happen in Indiana, and that starts from the ground up. After serving eight years in the Marine Corps, I wanted to come back to my community and make an impact. I believe it starts with investing in our public education system, having accessible and accountable veteran care and improving our quality of life.

My campaign is about making change happen now and not just waiting until I am elected. In the last year, I have started a group to help integrate female veterans into their local community, organized a parade at the Indiana Veterans Home to celebrate the first Women Veterans Day for the state, and participated in a first of its kind veteran's transition program. These are just some of the things I have done to make change happen now.

As chapter director, I help to create a community to equip, empower and encourage each other with knowledge, resources, mentorship and career opportunities for women that have served our country to discover and fulfill their greatest potential.  

We are the premier network focused on directly impacting the quality of life of women veterans. We do this through transforming the way the community networks to bring people and programs directly together through an energetic grass roots platform.

As an advocate, it is my mission to change perceptions and to make veterans visible in their communities.

Marine Corps Recruiting

As one of two victim advocates; I coordinated and conducted sexual assault prevention and bystander intervention training for Marine Corps Recruiting Station Columbia. I also handled all sexual assault cases assisting the service member in reporting and getting the resources they needed. I had to be familiar with all the local medical, spiritual and legal services in three states and multiple military installations.

Sexual Assualt Victim Advocate

•	Execute an advertising budget of more than $350,000 with the results of over 60,000 qualified leads through integration of advertising with internet, mobile, print platforms, direct mail and enhanced area canvassing.
•	Plan and supervise over 400 enhanced area canvassing events involving teams of three to 20 individuals and distributing 240,000 pounds of marketing materials.
•	Evaluate opportunities to advertise earning the Marine Corps more than 25 million dollars in free advertisement through a public service announcement campaign utilizing television, radio and outdoor advertisement.
•	Conduct more than 120 one-on-one, small-group and large-group training.
•	Develop detailed training plans for peers in current job field, providing 40 hours of informal and formal training.
•	Plan, promote, and execute three Educators Workshops resulting in increased exposure for the Marine Corps in 350 high schools.
•	Develop and launch 16 official Facebook pages, Instagram pages and Twitter pages, causing ready access to mass communication, free advertising, and a new opportunity for electronic prospecting.
•	Travel all across South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina to train Marines in utilizing social media platforms.

•	Re-energized the Adopt-A-School Program which resulted in participation from 165 schools.
•	Established a volunteer program to support various school activities and matched volunteers to serve as mentors, coaches, and provide career talks.
•	Coordinated and supervised volunteers to support community projects such as environmental clean up, Habitat for Humanity and assist in reading programs.

Community Relations Representative

•	Produced 274 news articles and 543 photographs for both print and online audiences resulting in spread of awareness of vital information.

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

•	Interfaced with 254 local businesses and government organizations
•	Assigned 894 volunteers to duties while at the Toys for Tots Warehouse in Fredericksburg, Va. And at local events across 11 counties resulting in a total of 4,221 volunteer hours and 127,264 toys being distributed.
