7 signs you are not being authentic in the workplace!

(P.S this affects your wellbeing & the wellbeing of those around you)


1. You avoid difficult conversations. This is often a sign of emotional immaturity, not being able to tell the truth out of fear of how others may react will cause problems in the long-run


2. You cannot give a straight answer. Again, this stems from fear & a lack of emotional maturity


3. You cannot accept responsibility for mistakes. You think this will make you look weak, but, vulnerability is a strength


4. You cannot accept criticism, even if it comes in the form of useful feedback. Everything feels like a personal attack, unfortunately, this stems from your own insecurity


5. You are indecisive. You cannot make a decision or take action, this stems from a fear of failure or instigating change. Change within an organisation is necessary


6. You do not know how to react when a colleague is being vulnerable with you. You haven't developed your Emotional Intelligence or are just too scared to use it


7. You are ego-centred rather than heart-centred. You are more concerned about appearance rather than real connection. Eventually, everybody will see through the facade & lose trust in you!
