TL;DR: I help growth stage sales-led saas b2b companies figure out how to win with competitive research-backed positioning and sales assets that make them easier to buy from. How? By speaking to the entire buying committee , not only to their champion. --- Over the last 14 years, I helped bring products to market in startups and Fortune 100 companies in a variety of roles. Some of those were $160M multidisciplinary products, some were DTC apps, most of them were SaaS B2B. In 2022 I started to come to LinkedIn more often and it became a place for learning while I was a founding product marketer (read: the only product marketer) and my local community never really bounced back post covid. And in the summer of 2023, I decided to join in. And I created meaningful connections almost immediately. Since that day I’ve been doing the work I love while being very intentional about who I work with. After a few months patterns began to emerge: - Competitive intel, one of the most strategic elements in marketing, is used mostly to create the most tactical assets (that are rarely being used anyway) - Most companies anchor their positioning on themselves, instead of articulating to their customers how they're different - buying software is only getting harder with more scrutiny and people involved, but companies aren’t giving their sellers and champions what they need to push deals forward With every client, I found myself going back to the foundational work during my in-house career: know your audience, understand the market, work with your sellers and GTM teams to win.
