As a speaker, author, professor, and entrepreneur, I specialize in blending the art and science of human flourishing with practical strategies that drive innovation, resilience, and growth. My mission is simple: to unlock the power of meaningful work to build cultures where people feel connected, challenged, and fulfilled.

For over two decades, I’ve worked with leaders at organizations like Google, Microsoft, KPMG, and Best Buy, delivering engaging workshops, keynotes, and trainings that yield measurable business results. My work combines pioneering research in Positive Psychology with a deep understanding of organizational challenges like employee engagement, retention, and productivity.

I’m also the co-author of Meaningful Work: How to Ignite Passion and Performance in Every Employee, a guide for leaders to harness the power of meaning and create thriving workplaces. This book brings together research and actionable strategies to inspire leaders to cultivate meaningful work in every job, at every level of their organization.

At Boston College, I teach future leaders about the science of flourishing organizations, and as a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, I continue to study how meaningful work drives performance and well-being. My research—the first rigorous academic study of leadership practices that increase meaning at work—has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, and FastCompany.

I believe workplaces are the key to human flourishing. When leaders make work meaningful, they unlock potential—not just for individuals, but for entire organizations.

On a personal note, I’m a lifelong learner and passionate about making a difference. I’ve lived in Boston for 20 years (despite disliking the cold), have three kids, two dogs, and a husband who supports my never-ending ideas. Whether it’s walking a marathon alone for the challenge or writing books like "The Secret to Peak Productivity" and "Meaningful Work," I’m driven by the belief that how we spend our time matters.

Tamara Myles

My approach blends the latest research in Positive and Organizational Psychology with evidence-based strategies to deliver workshops and trainings that yield tangible business results. I have trained leaders at high-performing companies like Best Buy, Microsoft, KPMG, Anytime Fitness, and Unilever and delivered keynotes to international business audiences. 

In 2012, I developed the Peak Productivity Pyramid® and wrote The Secret to Peak Productivity to help people more easily accomplish what is most important to them. Since the book’s publication, I’ve become more and more interested in how the experience of meaningful work affects the issues leaders are trying to solve for today: employee engagement, talent attraction, employee retention, and yes, even productivity. While completing my Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, I expanded my research to include the cascading effect of highly meaningful work and give leaders a framework for how to foster meaningful work in their organizations. My work and research have been featured in publications like Business Insider, Forbes, and USA TODAY.

I believe that meaningful work can be a powerful tool in business and for overall societal well-being. When leaders make work meaningful, everyone benefits.
