Career Development and Compensation Lead - External Consultant

Leading a truly diverse team of 16 rewards and benefits partners sitting in 11 different cities across the globe, ensuring best-in-class total rewards consultancy and solutions to HR and leaders across the Maersk group - our mantra being to 'think global, find efficiencies'. Driving top quartile engagement and collaboration across the rewards and HR communities to do my part in helping Maersk achieve it's vision of becoming a integrator of container logistics connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chain through global end-to-end solutions.

Specific priorities for 2020/2021:
- Robust rewards decision making by Leaders, driving an owners mindset whilst applying our global principles and a One Maersk rewards approach.
- People spend optimisation via a meaningful employee rewards experience for our diverse workforce
- Rewards program harmonisation and deliberate segmentation to enable aggressive business growth
- Maintaining our 2020 top quartile team engagement through the HR of the future transformation underway and our current COVID19 realities.

Team deliverables cover global mobility, benefits, wellbeing, compensation, incentives, recognition, employee experience optimisation, rewards harmonisation accross integrated entities and acquisitions, workplace flexibility, annual salary review cycle, benchmarking, job levelling and capability building.

Head of Global Rewards Deployment

Heading up the Rewards center of excellence  for the IMEA region, covering  8000 employees across 51 countries within the Middle East, Africa and Indian subcontinent. Core deliverables include reward capability building and training, incentives, recognition, mobility, benefits, benchmarking & job levelling and people performance & salary review.

Rewards Manager - IMEA Region

Reporting to the Global Performance & Reward lead, covering both the Africa and West Central Asia regions. A center of excellence covering salary review, benchmarking, expatriate pay & mobility, recognition and incentive programmes, employee benefits, HR transformation readiness and policy standardisation, employee engagement and performance management.

In addition from January 2016 I double hatted as HR Business Partner for the AFR region office - covering recruitment, talent management, employee development and strategic HR partnering to senior leaders and employees within the region head office.

HR Business Partner - AFR Region; Regional Performance & Reward Manager - AFR & WCA; 

Heading up the Compensation & Benefits center of excellence and the implementation of SAP HR in the Africa region, covering 46 countries in SSA. Key responsibilities include expatriate pay & mobility, job evaluation, incentive design & performance, salary review & benchmarking, policies & procedures, cluster HR coaching and HRIS reporting. 

From 2012 til mid 2015 I double hatted as the Global Mobility Manager for Maersk line, supporting HQ remotely in addition to my African focused reward responsibilities. Key mobility responsibilities included package calculations and expat offers for senior leaders globally, expat salary review, expat benefit provider management, global mobility policy, governance and process design, and liason with our global service center.
