Program Manager, ProZ.com Mentoring Program

At ProZ.com, I spearhead the Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to foster growth, development, and collaborative success within the global community of translators and interpreters. In my role, I:

* Strategize and Implement Program Enhancements: Develop and execute strategies to enhance the mentoring program, making it more accessible, engaging, and valuable for ProZ.com members.

* Facilitate Professional Development: Create opportunities for both mentors and mentees to grow professionally, through carefully curated resources, workshops, and networking platforms.

* Build and Nurture Community Relationships: Foster a supportive and collaborative environment by connecting experienced professionals with those embarking on their careers, strengthening the community's overall expertise and cohesion.

* Measure and Optimize Program Impact: Regularly assess program effectiveness using various metrics, ensuring alignment with ProZ.com’s mission and continuous improvement in delivering value to members.

* Advocate for Continuous Learning and Growth: Promote a culture of continuous professional development and learning within the translation and interpreting community.

My goal is to ensure that the Mentoring Program not only serves as a bridge connecting experienced professionals with newcomers but also acts as a catalyst for professional growth and excellence in the translation and interpreting industry.

By cultivating strong connections with houseplant growers and breeders, we want to enable everyone interested in rare and uncommon houseplants to collect with confidence and support all houseplant lovers in improving their growing experience.

We design WordPress websites and create multilingual content for small and medium-sized businesses. We also translate marketing content for marketing agencies and clients in IT, retail/eCommerce, and the F&B industry.

I am a versed and qualified translator, web designer, and passionate entrepreneur, adding value to my clients’ businesses since 2002. My prior nine-to-five career, which lasted until 2009, took me from project management to marketing and human resources. Last employers included SME in engineering and IT.

Today, my team and I offer clients in Marketing, IT, Retail/eCommerce, and the F&B industry complete language solutions for their global communications. We also design, build and host websites, mostly multilingual, for other entrepreneurs as well as for small and medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations.

This portfolio of services perfectly ties together my background in marketing, including my experience gained in nearly 20 years in the language service industry.

Together with Andrew Morris of the Translation Mastermind, I've taken on the role of the CPD Coordinator in the Translation Mastermind Community. I write courses for professional translators to train their business muscles. I also coach other trainers published in our Academy, and I organize the annual Translation Mastermind Summit, which premiered on February 3, 2020. As an awarded mentor, it's my mission to help fellow translators to ignite change.

With a collection of nearly 700 plants, I describe myself as the ruler of my Queendom. Over the past few years, I've developed an insatiable interest in tropical houseplants but became quickly aware of their environmental impact on our planet. Add in the fact that I wanted to become more involved in the houseplant community, and you have the perfect conditions for joining Aplanty Impact to build the Aplanty Purpose community.
