As a lifelong problem solver with a passion for helping others, my professional journey is focused on operational efficiency, and developing confident teams & leaders through relationship building and authentic connection. 

Having joined Immense Networks during its early(ish) existence, I have extensive experience transitioning from the chaos of a Break/Fix IT Shop to running a full-fledged successful MSP.  While leading the administrative side of Immense Networks, I sharpened my interpersonal skills and built my technical knowledge.  I accepted the technical service management role in 2017 with hopes of improving employee experience, customer satisfaction, and cultivating a strong company culture. While I didn't know everything, I leaned into my experience with process improvement, managing client expectations, and the support of strong mentors.  Through process implementation, process failures, accountability, accountability setbacks, staff recognition, “Don’t even mention Timenator” conversations, and a whole lot of apologizing when I messed up, our team (and subsequently Immense Networks/ImmyBot) has been able to thrive and focus on our passion for automation and helping other companies achieve their goals by utilizing technology.

Coming from an internal need to expedite workstation deployments, we developed ImmyBot through many late nights for 3 years.  Thanks to the efforts of my amazing coworkers, we officially launched ImmyBot to Automate Workstation Deployments in 2020 and have seen extensive internal efficiency improvements.

Currently, I am focused on ImmyBot strategic planning, and coaching the leadership team at Immense Networks. I encourage everyone to lead with passion and understanding to empower and build confidence within their staff. I've been known to be aggressively friendly at conventions or peer group meetings.

If you ever see me at an event, let's talk!  It can be about work strategy, problem solving, which 80s movie you'd like to live in, or what animal you think you could take in a fight, really anything (I have a wealth of useless knowledge).  I'd love to know your story!

Does the world even exist… Do I exist… Would it be a normal week working at a SaaS company if there isn’t a last minute pivot? Better yet, can I go a week without making fun of one of my friends?

... Probably not. They chose this life when they agreed to be friends.

The ImmyBot community call has some special guests today, Wes & Kyle from Empath! Partner education is top of mind for our team going into 2026, and who better to discuss it with than the guys who literally built the platform for it?

There won't be slides for us to fall back on (Unless Anna Lang made slides and I'm now a liar 😅). Just real talk, real experiences, and the stuff we usually DM each other about instead of posting. My favorite community calls haven't been overly polished, they're honest and uncomfortable conversations.

As the constant professional I am... I like to believe I handle every moment with the grace and poise they deserve... And, have experienced absolutely zero emotional damage from tripping over my words, forgetting words, or just busting out with random noises (or ya know... forgetting to turn my microphone on... a non zero amount of times). 

For 2026, I think it's time we normalize because chaotic, unhinged disasters together.

Let's just get this out of the way, FFWW&JCEs... I am NOT a New Year’s Resolution sorta person. They're too much pressure, they cause me extreme anxiety, and I always fail at them for a few reasons...

1. I make entirely too many resolutions.
2. They're oddly specific and excessively high on the expectations.
3. I am super unrealistic with my time and what I can actually commit to.

I prefer something with less pressure that can guide my year, instead of handcuffing me.

I took some time yesterday to brainstorm my word-of-the year... This is an exercise I've done for the past few years and found it works better for me than resolutions.

My Word(s)-Of-The-Year 2026 isss......

🎉DELIGHTFULLY-CONNECTED🎉 

Having a role like mine means the work/life balance is very skewed in favor of work. A majority of my friend group works within our industry. We go to the same events, we make time for each other, we bounce ideas off each other, they're my life support when I'm flailing. 

I love the overlap my work and life have, but it means this isn't "just work"... It's truly a my life and one I love living... So, in 2026 I'm choosing to bring joy, fun, and dare I say, DELIGHT to as many things as I can... while continuing to show up authentically and confidently.

Happy NYE, FFWW&JCEs (or New Year to my lovely Aussie friends)!

As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the year... Shocker, right?

Yesterday, I shared a highlight reel. So many of my favorite moments, with so many people I love. But, that's not the whole story. As Claire Jenks reminds us (post linked in comments), those are the parts that made it to the highlight reel. This year wasn’t perfect for everyone... In fact it probably wasn't perfect for anyone. For many of us, 2025 was hard. Messy. Heavy. Y'all, 2025... It was a lot.

If you feel that… I want you to remember that you f*cking made it.

Even if it felt like all you did was wake up every day, that absolutely counts. That matters. And I am so incredibly proud of you. 💛

With 2026 peeking around the corner, it's okay to be apprehensive, or nervous... Especially if 2025 was a b*tch. You don't have to commit to “new year, new me”. You don't have to spring around the corner ready to take on a new year.

A gentle reset, a quiet promise to go easier on yourself, forgive the mistakes, drop the baggage, start at zero if you need to... A tip toe into the new year, if you'd rather, sounds great.

With all the highlight reels coming out, this is a reminder to not compare yourself to what you're being shown. We don’t see the outtakes, the heartbreaks, the moments where they're crying on the bathroom floor wondering what the hell to do next. 

You’re are someone important. You are building yourself into the person you were meant to be... Someone shaped by everything you’ve survived and learned. 

I’m cheering for you from my little corner of Louisiana. I am so so so proud of you. And I can’t wait to see who we all become in 2026.

I am definitely feeling overwhelmed by 2026 and it's only just begun. 

So, I did what I always do... CREATED ANOTHER CHECKLIST that WILL fix my life.

Y'all, if this checklist doesn't fix it, I am literally out of ideas. Maybe we reinstitute crying in the bathroom on Thursdays at 2pm and calling Natalie Hell to pull me back from the ledge. 😅

I saw a video on Instagram regarding things that should be allowed at work, but aren't... and the creator, ethanbridge_, started with booing people in meetings.

I am here for this because...
1. It's a funny way to disagree. 
2. Can you really get mad at someone for a light hearted "boo" to a bad idea? 🤣

Let's not stop at meetings...

- Anyone who starts an email with "Just wanted to run something by you..."
* Immediate "Boo."

- Someone pitching you in a LinkedIn DM... and maybe they use the word synergy (or maybe they don't 🤷🏼‍♀️)
* "Boo! Boo! Boo!" (Then flip it and reverse it. You pitch them now). 


What else should we start booing people for?

I work for ImmyBot... Which I think everyone knows, unless you're new here. Working for a small SaaS company in the MSP space means my days are basically decision making, event planning, content building, yada, yada, yada.

At the same time, I have ADHD, and something I consistently struggle with (on a bad day) and manage (on a good day) is executive functioning.

If you're like "Tara, WTF is executive functioning?" Don't worry, I have a definition!

Executive functioning is the set of mental skills that help you plan, decide, start, prioritize, switch tasks, and follow through. You can think of it as your brain’s internal management system... and it can be a complete jerk face to wrangle some days.

From the outside, I like to think things look fine most of the time... But internally, I’m often burning a lot of energy just keeping that system running and keeping the raving brain squirrels in check.

Earlier this week, something clicked for me while doom scrolling instagram during a sleepless night. A video about ADHD and executive functioning popped up, and it discussed how there are times when people struggling with it actually outsource their executive functioning... Sometimes it's accidental and sometimes completely intentional. This can look like handing off planning, or making decisions when they're feeling maxed out mentally.

Suddenly, a memory made perfect sense. I wouldn't be surprised if a literal light bulb turned on over my head.💡 

Recently, I spent a day with one of my besties. When we made plans, I had one request... “I don’t want to plan anything. Just tell me where to be and when to show up.” At the time, it felt lazy/indecisive on my part, and I worried about them judging me for not planning everything.

I didn't realize it at the time, but what I was actually asking for was relief from constant choice. And, they showed the f*ck up.

They gave me a time, and a place. They made a dinner reservation! When we got hungry, I didn’t have to decide. When it was time to move on, I didn’t have to think.

That day truly felt like a gift... Not because I don’t know how to plan, but because for one day, I didn’t have to manage, optimize, or decide ANYTHING.

I got to just… exist.

I asked for what I needed, and they didn't hesitate. 

I want to encourage you, if you notice a friend struggling with executive functioning (ADHD or otherwise), helping them rarely means advice or solutions. It's really much simpler than that... It's an “I’ve got this."
Maybe make that plan, set that time, and place. Do a body doubling session, or accountability call. Temporarily take something off their plate. It helps more than you know.

And to my friends who let me show up as I am... Quirks, lists, overwhelm, and all the other chaos... Thank you for not hesitating to help.💚💛💜
